✋🏻 Handprint Alphabet Books ✋🏻

I’ve been slowly working on making these handprint alphabet books with my boys and look how precious they are turning out. I printed 2 copies of each letter and added them in to page protectors to place in these folders. I labeled the folders using my @cricut Joy. For the handprints I paint @crayola washable paint on to their cute little hands. I found baby wipes work better than a trip to the sink. I of course learned this the hard way. It may take me forever to get through all of the letters, but I am loving how these are turning out. Not only are they a sweet keepsake but they are a fun activity for us to do as my boys learn their letters and sounds.

🚙On the Go Sensory Box🚙

I love having easy activities for my boys when we’re on the go and after seeing @mommasociety share a car box she created for her kids I was inspired to create one for mine too. We were on vacation a couple of weeks ago and the boys were highly entertained at every restaurant by playdough and their race cars, so I knew this would be perfect for them. I of course had to personalize the pencil boxes with my Cricut using my favorite font for kid stuff (Clementine Creamery).

Here’s how I store the sensory bin fillers I use for activities with my two little ones. I have the @ikea Kallax shelf in my office closet where the boys don’t go without me, so they can’t get in to everything and make a mess. I use sensory bins a lot to entertain the kids and being able to use and reuse sensory bin fillers is very helpful, these fillers will last for years as long as they are kept dry. Life has been a big adjustment with two littles 👶🏼🧒🏼 at home, this week I tried a new routine where I put together some “busy boxes” for Monday-Friday to pull out for Charlie when I’m in a pinch while I’m nursing the baby or trying to get some chores done. Henry is 4 months old now and Charlie turned 2 in March and it’s hard to have a great routine those first few months. It’s only been a week but I’ve had SO much fun scouring Pinterest for fun themes to do with dyed rice, oatmeal and water beads .. and today when Charlie saw the box he clapped his hands and said “yay!” which made me so happy. 🥰 I am not sure how often I will switch up the boxes but I know I can reuse the prior weeks if I am too busy or tired, and I can switch them up based on the seasons or holidays and what he is interested in as well.

I am sure it’s obvious at this point that I’m a little extra when it comes to organizing everything, I can’t help it. 😂🙈 Charlie loves sensory bins and I love making them for him, it’s a fun creative outlet for me to work with different themes and colors and I know that fun and sensory experiences are really important for Charlie. 🦄Unicorn Activity Kit🦄

We have lots of birthday parties coming up and as a boy mom it was fun for me to get creative with some girly stuff for these activity kits I put together. I got some cool mom points today with this road tape! 💁🏼‍♀️ If you’ve got kids that love playing with car and trains, this is such a fun gift or stocking stuffer for them!

I used to use this jar for clean pacifiers, as we get out of that phase I decided to repurpose it for the road tape and display it in our playroom. 🚗

If you’ve followed me for long you have seen how I set up our daily busy boxes during the week with @themagicplaybook activities. Charlie asks for his activities like clockwork and it is such an important part of our routine for the both of us. Now that he’s 3, I always thought I’d be enrolling him in some sort of preschool program, but the truth is, I don’t want to! We have been praying about this decision for awhile and we are officially doing preschool at home. We are so excited and I think it is the best choice for our family. I love spending my days with him, and he loves spending his days with me. I know these days are numbered and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to have this time with my boys.

Check out my Reels for a closer look at how I organize our homeschool cart, I know I will tweak things as we find what works for us. I love that I can roll the cart around in our home and it stores everything I need perfectly.
