This trip I took with my family to Italy deserves more love. It was extraordinary and full of beauty and learning. Here I am in our Florence Air b n b feeling la dolce vita in my Misa dress. Slide two is Sorrento, three and four are Capri, five and six the Trevi Fountain, seven the rooftops of Rome, eight a Roman Tiramisu, nine a blessing from a gorgeous museum and person I can’t recall and ten, rooftop views on my birthday in Roma!

I think our first outing together was at the Chiltern Firehouse. It was a great night and I’ve treasured it ever since. Here we are at a dive bar in NYC.

A little while ago my family and I traveled to Florence, Italy and had the most incredible meal at what is now one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Somehow I’ve shared very little about it. I went to a gorgeous wedding in Dallas earlier this year in a beautiful bucolic setting. I pulled this dress from my closet and it was perfection. I felt so pretty and on point, and there was enough movement in this dress to facilitate all the dancing I did at the reception!

While in Italy on a boat hurtling from Sorrento to Capri, I found my bliss! What a gorgeous day trip this was! I once had a farm in Africa. Well, my grandparents did. In the Usambara mountains. I was born in Dar es Salaam but this trip was my first to the Serengeti. To say it was life changing and extraordinary in every way would still not do the experience justice. Here I am moments before boarding the safari vehicle for a day full of wildlife sightings. Hippos, lions, cheetah oh my! Pro tip: While on safari wear neutral colors. Your neon brights could scare away the marvelous animals upon which you came to gaze! I’m wearing my husband’s cargos here, and I love to wear his T-shirts, so I’ve included some menswear options for you to shop. I’m thinking, and traveling, outside the box.
