My love for minidresses runs deep. From day to night they just feel right!

Simple tops are a staple in my wardrobe but sometimes I want them to do a little more. That’s where the ruffles come in! I paired this little ruffle crop top with my structured, voluminous skirt, added a pair of killer boots and we are good to go!

An elegant take on the mini skirt. Pair it with a long sleeve top with some drape and a muted shade. This one is a light mauve. The skirt and the top have a nice weight to them. I love the silver belt buckle, but the pockets on the skirt cinch the deal!

Oversized jackets double as dresses. This one was my dad’s, custom made for him in Tanzania. I am wearing a minidress underneath but I admit you’d be hard pressed to know it! The oxfords are classics from Margiela. Fall is officially in full swing

Let’s talk about the color yellow. I’m wearing a buttery yellow slip dress here inspired by all the pops of color I saw on the Loewe runway a few days ago. Loving the mix of colors and the bright optimism of sunny hues. I think we could all use an infusion of sunshine these days and an easy way to accomplish this is through the clothes on our backs. They signal to us and everyone we encounter that hope springs eternal!

This little denim dress has a lot going for it. It’s backless, has a flattering and classic cap sleeve and high neckline, a pleated mini length skirt and the whole thing is wrapped up in a pretty bow! I wore this dress to brunch on a wedding weekend in Dallas and felt put together and comfortable too. The dress I’m wearing was an Urban Outfitters find that’s no longer available. But lucky for all of us they have some great denim dress options ready to roll! I’ll take one of each!
