I'm so glad we waited 6+ years to remodel the house because so much changed from planning to inception over those 6 years, like having a 3rd child I wasn't ever sure we were going to have. Another recent change we made, after moving back home and realizing that the kids just grow and get louder, and when we have all 13 cousins together, forget it! 📢🙉 So the day before Easter, we went to Target and picked up a few things to make the office more of an office/kids play space combo, so we could shove a few kids in there when things got too noisy 😆. It worked perfectly on Easter when we hosted the entire family. A few girls would come in here and watch Cupcake Wars or play Just Dance, while the boys played baseball outside, and then things would reverse and so on. Love this little space. I've changed too and no longer dream of having a giant craft office like I used to. I do most of my work out in the open, on the big island when all 3 kids are in school. It's all good. I'll have an entire house to myself in 15 years anyhow. Well, Art and I will. Not planning on kicking him out ha! Everything is from Target and the love seat is the perfect size for this small space. The rug wasn't my first choice, but knowing lots of kids would be in here playing and sitting, I wanted it to be soft and this is. The poofs were an after thought but they all love sitting on them (and throwing them at each other). 🙄😜 Shop it all online here on Target, where the couch is now even cheaper than when I bought it last week.
