My weighted vest has been essential in my perimenopausal journey! I walk in mine for 45 minutes every day. Sometimes I break it up, sometimes I do it in one walk but either way, got to get that 45 minutes in daily! I recommend starting at 8 lbs then working your way up, but that also depends on your weight!

How I wash my African Net Sponge! Rinse, squeeze out the water then hang dry when you’re done showering. For weekly washing I put it in a washing bag on delicate with hot water then hang to dry! You can also hand wash with vinegar and hot water!

Hi! I’m Anna. A perimenopausal, 49 year old empty nester. These are things I use almost daily and can’t live without.

I had pH issues as a teen and when my mama steered me to dove, never again, 30+ years later. This is the only cleanser that comes near my lady parts. Maybe you’re not unhygienic. Maybe you’re just not using dove.

La Mer. expensive but I’ve used it every single day for 15 years. It is the ONLY thing that keeps my eye eczema in check, plumps my skin, and seals in everything I do. If there’s another just like it, go ahead, but I am not fixing what’s not broken. The perfect pair with tretinoin because the ferment in La Mer counteracts the inflammation, redness and peeling from retinol.

The best ice roller ever. It stays cold for hours and addresses puffiness, acne, fits in every crevice and slows premature aging. Plus it feels SO good.

10/10, no notes. I stock up on this lotion. Leaves my body (and heels) glowing.

Speaking of heels, I promise you. You will not experience the cracked heels your grandmother had. If you’re already there, this WILL reverse it within a week.

A fancy robe that makes me feel like Queen Claire Huxtable, but make it boho. This gets more relaxed and soft with every wash.

used to loathe underwear until I realized I just had the wrong ones. I tested multiple pairs in my underwear challenge. You don’t feel them and they leave minimal panty lines. I don’t care if they’re granny. I don’t wanna wear anything else.

peel. I like a mask too but this doesn’t leave weird creases- those over 40 know what I mean! Seals in my skincare overnight for glass skin in the morning.

My natural deodorant journey has been a longgggg fight but I finally found a routine that works for me! The Ordinary Glycolic acid + the Donna Karan aluminum free deodorant remains king! Don’t use the glycolic acid right after shaving and make sure to wear sunscreen, the acid makes skin more sensitive.

Instead of wasting my cleanser I use my hypochlorous spray to clean my face in the morning then follow it with my sunscreen! Then I’m ready to workout and walk outside!

For cleaning down there, I first use a washcloth and Dove, then rinse. Then I use this African net sponge!
No, this is NOT a loofah. This doesn’t absorb moisture but still creates a great lather even with the tiny amount of soap. You have to make sure you get the authentic one with the tiny knots. Those knots exfoliate your skin SO well!
