i potty trained my 2yr old in 3 DAYS… and this is a round up of everything we used! also linked are a few other essentials that helped us get the job done 🖤✨

+ books: any potty training book will help them understand the concept of using the potty. we started reading this to him a few months before we started actually potty training. it’s also nice to add in some new potty books they’ve never seen so they are excited to sit on the potty as you read to them.

+ potty training watch: this allowed us to set a timer to keep track of the time. I love that he was able to wear it bcuz he got excited to “try” everytime the timer went off. *we started using this on the second day because the shortest time increment is 30 minutes*

+ travel seat: this is KEY when out & about! it has handles to prevent your little one from holding onto the public toilet seat. i also love that it’s easy to clean. (recommend carrying sanitizing wipes for easy cleaning on the go) it comes with a travel bag & folds up nicely to fit into a medium sized bag.

+ training underwear: we started with having him wear nothing so we could see if he had an accident. by the 3rd day we introduced training underwear and these were great. they are soft and come with a small amount of padding. also come in a bunch of fun prints. my son is obsessed with bluey so he loved these.

+ at home potty’s: we have a tiny potty and a big boy potty. i’d recommend getting the big boy potty to skip having to transition them from the tiny potty to the big boy potty but honestly whatever works for him! my son was intimidated by the big potty and loved being able to sit on his tiny potty all by himself with no supervision.

my 2 yr old has no problem learning as long as the learning activity feels and looks like a game… he’s been loving these montessori dinosaur puzzles that come in a set of 5.

each puzzle gets more difficult and challenges him to use his fine motor skills. it’s also a great way for him to call out & recite his numbers along the way. such a fun & affordable activity to do at home!

one thing about my son? he ask’s me to paint MULTIPLE times a day and i used to dread it. the cleanup was way too much but i came across this setup and it’s made doing art projects fun & mess free! 👏🏼

just be sure the green plug is in all the way otherwise you’ll have a puddle of water on the table in a matter of seconds 🤣 trust me, i learned my lesson. haha

ngl, this christmas hit a little different 🥹 we loved celebrating last year as first time parents but it was even better this year. his reactions were everything! it really goes to show how much our little ones grow in a just a years time.
