This room doesn’t really get any love here on the gram even though it’s probably the room we spend the most time in! 🤍. We love curling up in here relaxing with a fire, watching a movie or reading a good book! I would like to update the fireplace a little bit and maybe change out the floor. But for now, this room is very well loved just how it is. 🤍

Our real tree is officially up! I almost didn’t want to decorate her because she is just so pretty as is. But this is the tree we put all our sentimental ornaments on, so this is a shot of her before. Stay tuned in my stories for a shot of her all dressed up!

We went to a new tree farm this year and had the best experience! Everyone was so friendly, and it was beautiful there. I felt like I was in a Hallmark movie…right down to the cute farmer’s son who helped us out. 🙊 I was ready to give up city life and marry the farmer’s son…it would make a great Hallmark movie, no? Eric didn’t appreciate my idea 😂 Who else loves Hallmark movies no matter how predictable the plots are? 🙋🏻‍♀️

I have finally “finished” decorating the mantle. I am using quotes because I may still make some changes, but right now, I am loving it! Looking forward to snuggling up in here with a fire this season.
Just to the left of our fireplace is where we put our real Christmas tree. That’s the tree where we put all of our family ornaments, ornaments Eric and I made as kids, ornaments the kids have made, etc. So it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing tree 😂, but it’s our special tree. 🤍

If you saw my stories, you know I’ve been a little MIA. I had a surgical procedure and have been uncomfortable and trying to rest up as best I can. This morning is the first morning I made it downstairs for coffee. So I’m just going to sit here and enjoy my coffee and this view. 🤍

I changed up the mirror on the mantle for something bigger and more substantial, and I’m loving it! What do you think? Bonus points to anyone who can spot the little crow I added for my first attempt at Halloween decor! 🖤

It’s fireplace reveal day! Finally! Here she is in all her glory! While I loved this fireplace when we bought our house, I always knew I wanted to update it to be lighter and brighter. (Swipe for a before pic!) Because it’s so tall, I was very intimidated to get started. Thanks to the encouragement of my girl @ellisandhale, I finally took the plunge, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
