Our builder grade home had some hard wired lighting installed in the kitchen but I’ve wanted to add more so the kids aren’t walking around in the dark when daylight savings rolls back. These Amazon lights by @ezvalo_official are easy to install, apartment-friendly and affordable.

✨ I featured the cool lighting in my reel but my recommendation would be the warm lighting pack in relaxed spaces and a cool lighting pack in an office or task space💡

I remember @laizacors @embello_inc teaching me how to style my first designer bed.

I’ve read the book on making your bed first thing in the morning and how good you feel at the end of the day having at least one thing accomplished.

But nothing comes close to the feeling of joy a beautifully made bed gives you when “momma needs a minute” to sit down in her room on days when you feel like you’re starting so many things all day and not finishing any of them.

The groceries, dishes, laundry, trash. It’s never-ending. But your bed. It’s something you make beautiful once and you’re done… and these designer beds aren’t gonna make themselves 😜

New month, new calendar of activities for my kids! I like to physically write out what’s upcoming and hang it near the door so I don’t forget anything they need to toss in the car. Getting out the door is always a scramble and having a scrappy at a glance calendar helps so much during the most chaotic time of the day.

Things that make my life easier:
✨Laminating the school calendar so I can plan for events & outfits.
✨Designating a color for each member of the family. Who else loves to color code?
✨For my clean living mommas: I use @branchbasics to wipe off my wet erase markers.

DIYing built ins ourselves and opting for an inexpensive Costco couch left us room in the media room project budget for a new TV.

After tons of research, found that this one is perfect. The box is wireless and we can hide it inside of a cabinet. And bonus, it fills the space in between the beautiful shelves we’re building.

The island area in my kitchen gets so much traffic, despite hardwoods being so beautiful, some days I wish for tile like the olden days.

@amberinteriors launched a rug collab with @loloirugs and I wanted to test one of her prints in our kitchen since there’s always so much water splashing everywhere and it was starting to ruin my floors. Not only did I get the must plush rug that feels so cloud like on my feet, but I now have something that’s less expensive than replacing the planks. The rug dries pretty quickly and protects this space from all the hand and dishwashing.

Rug grips lock the rug into place so the dog doesn’t go flying with it every time she runs to the door and toddlers are less likely to slide.

Camden’s boy nursery is neutral with an ode to war times with his General McArther original artwork, Etsy prop plane mobile and stars (and stripes) throw.

We moved in to our build a couple months before he was born and hurried to finish his room. I’m so excited to add a little touch of DIY love in here. It’s so perfectly neutral 🩶 but couldn’t a little wall paneling and a touch of wallpaper for a little spice.

Media room dry bar: we ordered unfinished stock cabinets we can spray paint to match the color of our built ins. Since we needed something fast in order to get carpet, I opted out of building this in ourselves. It’s summer and this is one big portion of a big project off our plate ✨
