My interior designer friend came over tonight and saw this gorgeous candle on my coffee table and said, ‘WAIT is that a @lafco candle?! I always said that when I grew up and had my own apartment, I’d own a Lafco candle!’ It seems I have checked off a rite of passage into adulthood by owning one. If you haven’t gotten on the @madewell Cali Demi-boot Jeans train, you better hop on girl!! I have them in three colors - Black, regular denim and just picked up these mustard cords. I’m obsessed - it’s the only denim cut I like to wear now. This was taken right after I spilled my NYE mocktail - or as I like to call it, a Moscow Fool. Believe the hype about the white @oldnavy rockstar super skinny jeans with the stain repellant and built in super sculpt omg y’all!! They look great on, are slimming, are not transparent and are under $55. I bought a size 8 because the 6 looked painted on (but were still comfy, just not my style to be that tight). For those of you who went shopping with me on stories this weekend, I’m so glad I made this purchase and highly recommend. The only other jeans I wear anymore are @madewell so the fact that I like these is huge!

One of the ways I’ve been spending my staycation this week is testing out drugstore makeup (big surprise!). Almay is one of those brands I’ve known of since I was a child, playing with my mother’s makeup. Since then, they have evolved so much and now have highlighters and multi-dimensional shadows for the warm-weather glow! One of my favorite drugstore dupes is Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink. It’s a dead ringer for Nars Orgasm and costs so much less. The only downside to some drugstore makeup? I find that it doesn’t last as long as the higher end versions. The pigments just aren’t as strong. And the packaging isn’t as sturdy. Have you gals noticed this too? It doesn’t stop me from LOVING drugstore makeup. I’d gladly reapply a couple times a day to save 20 bucks!! Have you ever bought something that you REALLY wanted to work and it just doesn’t? That’s what happened to me with this floral suit. I’ve had my eye on it for weeks and finally decided to try it. The pants are perfect but the blazer is just too boxy. On my frame, which needs cinching at the waist, it’s a fail. Seated it looks fine, but IRL, forget it. It’s ok to acknowledge when something isn’t right for you. There’s great power in knowing what looks best on your body! Are these BLUE or PURPLE to you?? We spent today walking the ATL beltline and having lunch with friends at @poncecitymarket. You can even see the margarita salt and burrito remnants on my sweatshirt. On our walk home I made Evan shoot 700 versions of me leaping across this rainbow. It was a fun day without deadlines and stress. This casual look is a mix of high, low and medium favorites. In my opinion, the ZAC by @zacposen Eartha bag is one of the best designed and most affordable luxe bags out there.
