Dresser reveal ✨

I was so disappointed when I discovered I couldn’t seal these pieces to show off the natural wood tone. Different wood tones makes that a little hard! So I pivoted last minute and decided to paint them with @sherwinwillams Emerald Urethane Trim paint in Homberg Gray. I have to say I LOVE how they turned out.

I got so many questions about the desk I made for our room!

The old desk we have had since 2014 and I was kind of over it. I decided I had enough scrap wood to make something that fit better in our room and would also meet Alex’s work needs. No plans used here, I just made it up as I went! But I will be making a plan for it, don’t worry!

Covered in dust but I pulled together these shelves in about a day to make my dad’s closet work better for him.

The best part about this entire project? The only thing I bought for it was adhesive to fix the flooring where a set of drawers used to be 🙌🏻 everything else was already on hand, scrap from other projects or from taking out my grandparent’s old closets.

Play Kitchen is done 🙌🏻

I removed the baseboard around the kitchen, added a few shelves to the cabinets, hung the clock that Jackie made, added the magnet boards & made the table and benches!

Jackie has been playing with the table and benches daily, just like I envisioned 💕 there are tea parties, dinners, restaurants and so much more and it’s only been a few days

One last favorite DIY from 2021 before the year is over!

If you haven’t picked up on it yet, I really enjoy making the space we have more functional. This bar in our kitchen is an awkward height and 9 feet long. We never sat here and it just became a catch all for stuff. So I decided to utilize the space better and put shelves under the bar instead.

We keep toys in the bins from @sortjoy and coloring supplies in the baskets. My house binders are there on the bottom shelf so they are accessible every day.

This space makes me so happy now, instead of getting hit by a wave by anxiety every time I look at it.

That’s my goal for 2022. Create more functional spaces in our house. Better utilization of space so we can enjoy our house as much as possible ✨
