Having an invisible illness like, Type 1 Diabetes, can be tough especially when those around you just don’t understand.

Sometimes it isn’t their fault. I know before my parents and boyfriend were educated about Type 1, they didn’t understand why I needed to stay in bed the rest of the day after a bad low. I looked fine. They didn’t understand that when my blood sugar was high all day, I couldn’t just bring it down and be fine. They were judgmental and confused because, again, I looked fine physically. They, thankfully, understand now.

But I just wanted to jump on here and tell all of you out there struggling with an invisible illness, I understand. I know it can feel lonely and maybe you feel helpless because no one around you gets it. I get it, and I’m here to chat or be of support if you ever need it.
