I wasn’t even going to pack a bikini.

I picked it up before the trip and thought — you’ll never wear it. Threw it in anyway.

Here’s the thing. I’m 51, 4 years post-menopause and my body has changed. I’ve been more self-conscious about my skin, my middle, all of it. And I kept waiting to feel ready.

In Bora Bora I finally said F-it and wore it.

I almost didn’t shoot it either. Fully expected to delete every photo.

When I saw them I actually stopped. I looked... pretty great. That surprised me.

So here are the swimsuits I wore — because maybe you needed to see this today and say F-it too.

When we were sightseeing I dressed it down with some chic white sneakers and a white jacket, then switched to heels for dinner. It’s soooo special! These Scottie jeans are sooo soft—they have just the right amount of stretch, making them ridiculously comfortable to wear all day.

The dark wash with subtle center fading is also a major bonus! It visually slims and elongates your legs. It’s one of those small design details that makes a huge difference. TTS.

To keep the lengthening effect going, I love pairing these with pointed toe booties in darker neutrals like black or chocolate brown.
