I haven’t painted the patio yet. The string lights aren’t up. The rugs don’t match.
But the flowers are blooming, and Amelia’s out here watering them like it’s magic.

Reminding myself (and maybe you too?)—don’t wait for perfect. Start where you are. Plant the flowers. Make the memories. Let the joy grow right in the middle of the mess.

Hack alert: I used cardboard to secure the base of this faux olive tree and take up space in the pot—then added a thin layer of real soil on top to make it look totally legit.

I forgot how big of an impact curtains could have until I swapped our dark velvet panels for this soft cottage pattern. It instantly warmed up our open floor plan and made the whole space feel more inviting. And those thrifted vintage sconces added so much charm for just $2 each 😍

Now help me decide- should I change out the rug now?

Tip: Don’t underestimate the power of pattern and texture when trying to cozy up a big space. Sometimes it just takes one small change to make a huge difference!
