Today I had the pleasure of visiting the new @thirteenlune and @jcpenney beauty experience at the Trumbull mall. It is one of 10 JCP locations to have this new partnership with a nationwide rollout coming in 2023! The products are also available at JCP online and Thirteen Lune’s website. @nyakio & Patrick Herning founded Thirteen Lune a year ago to inspire the discovery of beauty brands created by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color founders that resonate with all backgrounds. 90% of their brands are POC founded and the remaining 10% is used to highlight ally brands. Within the JCP installation there are photos and mini bios of each of the brand founders so shoppers can really connect with the brands. I thought this was a great addition to the shopping experience as it put a face(s) to the brand. I also placed an order online for a few of the other items I had my eye on in the store!
