DIY Floating Shelf Hack! 💪🏼 I found these stair treads that make the perfect floating shelves! Simply cut them down to size, stain/paint and install! SO GENIUS! And easy! A very beginner friendly DIY! You can use metal shelf brackets or if putting between two cabinets… simply screw them in!

I accidentally marked my hardware hole wrong on this drawer in the laundry room, but I found these cool stickers on Amazon to hide it! They saved me from having to replace the drawer front 👏🏼🙌🏼

Tile and countertops are in and looking 🔥😍

I stepped outside my design comfort zone with this one and I LOVE it so far! I usually would pick bright and airy everything but I felt like the laundry room was a great place to take a risk!

Do you like the dark counters?! A lot of you voted for the lighter counters… does this change your mind? What do you think?!

Next up: grouting the tile, adding the crown molding and the floating shelves!

Have you ever wanted to DIY your own backsplash tile? Linking everything for you down below that you will need to prep your walls for tile! Make sure that you start with a smooth surface and apply musslebound, which is a tile adhesive mat… So much easier to use than mortar and then you grout like normal after the tile is installed!

This stuff is the best for installing tile backsplash! It’s called MusselBound and it’s like a peel and stick backing (it’s crazy sticky!) that you can install the tile directly on and then grout like normal!

Sanding the wall smooth and installing the MusselBound tile adhesive mat so that we can start tiling!! This stuff is awesome because you can use this instead of thinset. You just apply the tile directly to it (it’s crazy sticky!) and then you grout like normal!

CABINET HANGING HACK! Ideally, cabinets would be hung with two people so you have an extra set of hands but SHE DON’T NEED NO MAN! 😜 sooo excited about how this laundry room is coming together!

I’m simply screwing a scrap piece of wood into the studs (make sure it’s level!) and then resting the upper cabinet on the board while I screw it into the studs. Once your cabinet is set in place, remove the 2x4 and stand back and admire your work! 👏🏼

Another tip! Pre-screw your screws into the top of the cabinet so that once it’s up you can just simply attach to the wall and no screws can be seen from inside the cabinet! You can do this on the bottom for extra support too!
