Sharing in stories today one of the ways Dakota and I keep our kids and our own hearts oriented rightly when we travel or experience new things. It can be so easy to forget the GIVER who gives the gift. It can be so easy to forget the CREATOR who made the creation we freely get to enjoy when traveling or experiencing something new. Pausing to thank God, creator and Giver of every good gift, while on vacation is a simple way we try to keep teaching our kids to give God the right place He deserves in all of our hearts- first. Everything else is secondary and all of it is grace from Him. Do we deserve it? No. Does He freely give it? Yes. Because of Christ, the greatest gift God has freely given to us, God forgives and gives all of us grace upon grace in so many good gifts to freely enjoy. The gospel orients our hearts rightly.
