I styled the renovated basement entryway with wall molding, a vintage serpentine dresser, and a mix of some new and old decor.

This is my secret formula for antique hardware restoration.

If you need to remove paint first, I give everything a hefty coat of the Smart Strip paint remover. (Tip: wrap it in plastic wrap and let it sit overnight to work even better.)

Clean with soft bristle brush and water.

Shine with Brasso & paper towels!

And voilà!! I don’t mind imperfections after shining the metal, I think it gives it more character. 😉
