With many companies moving to a work from home set up today, I wanted to share 3 of the things that I’ve learned from working from home for the past 5 months.
1. Get dressed - I know PJ work day is great, but it’s good to keep your routine as normal as possible while working from home and getting dressed puts me in the mind set that it’s time to work
2. Take small breaks - it can be so easy to push through to get everything done on the to do list, but it’s so important to take small breaks to walk around the house, grab some coffee or water and just give you mind and eyes a moment away from your computer screen, like you would in the office
3. Limit distractions - while at home, there are so many more things that catch my attention and can distract me from completing my work. When I need to focus, I put on my headphones with classical music (just like I would at the office), turn my phone on Do Not Disturb and set a time that I need to focus for (usually an hour or so).
