Reintroducing retinol was at the top of my list and @elizabethardenanz Retinol + HPR Ceramide Rapid Skin-Renewing Water Cream has been the perfect start.

HPR (Hydroxypinacolone retinoate) is a next generation retinoid providing 10x the potency of pure retinol, while being gentle on your skin. Admittedly I was prepared for a very cautious trial over the past few weeks as my skin still has some lingering sensitivities, but it is so gentle I have easily incorporated this cream into my routine every single night in the past two weeks.

With ingredients to hydrate and protect your skin barrier like peptides, phytoceramides, and hyaluronic acid, it is designed to soothe and strengthen the skin, while the Retinol and HPR help retexurise, target wrinkles, and pigment. The Vitamin E Serum has saved my skin when my barrier has been impaired by stress or changes of season. The Vitamin B Serum has helped greatly at improving hydration and improving even tone between breakouts, somehow even better than its previous formula which I also adored. The Vitamin C Serum has been an almost daily staple under sunscreen to help repair damage from the Sun, while continuing to work on my post breakout pigmentation. And of course using the Vitamin A Serum once a week has become an essential part of my night routine to help keep my skin looking fresh. After using the same cleanser for years and years, I decided that I wanted to try something new for a change. Not going to lie I did mostly buy this Summer Fridays because I loved the colour of the bottle. I had heard good things about it but at the time the blue green glass got me good.

My skin has been becoming drier, but also more congested and just generally unruly. I am thoroughly enjoying this cleanser, it is super gentle, deep cleaning but not at all stripping and feels really nice on the skin 🧖🏼‍♀️ So much so that so far I don’t miss my usual go to cleanser

I’ve started trialling the new @kiehls.au Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream (and the toner of course) and on my first impressions I quite like this little moisturiser. It is a bit too lightweight for my skin at this time of year but I know come summer time this will probably become one of my go-tos ☀️
This cream is super-lightweight and barely leaves a trace once it has soaked in - except its gorgeous fresh scent. It really feels like a true water cream and makes the skin feel like it’s just taken a long drink of water. The first day I trialled it on my hands and it soaked in so well I didn’t have any issues with residue throughout my day. Very excited to keep playing with this product as Calendula is known for being very calming to the skin and helps to reduce inflammation. Super excited to have my hands on the new @kiehls.au #MadeBetterAU collab with John Legend! I am trialling the Rare Earth Mask which uses Amazonian White Clay to help draw out impurities, reduce surface oil production and minimise the appearance of pores. I haven’t had a good clay mask in years so I popped this baby on this morning and was very pleased to see how it tightened up my skin and helped with some of the early stages on congestion I was seeing 👉🏻 Swipe for during and after shots 👉🏻
I’m even more excited that this limited edition jar is made with recycled materials (30% post-consumer for the pot and 100% for the label). Over the past couple of months I’ve really started to notice how much packaging comes with skincare so I love that more brands are making steps to reduce their overall impact.
