#SullyLou got her first haircut today! I don't know why I bothered wearing mascara, it was streaking down my face all through today's appointment. 😭She was phenomenal and just excited about playing in the pirate ship and the promised ice cream in the end. 🍦

Watching those little ringlets bounce when they hit the ground brought back a flood of memories... our surprise at all her hair when she was born in the hospital, her piggie tails on her first birthday, salty strands on Sullivans Island, it flowing in the wind when she ran down the hall at the sight of her Moana party, me holding her and burying myself in her hair on the plane as we flew from Charleston to a scary new life in London... see what I mean? #TotalMess 😊Why does it all go by so fast?!
