✨ Stripping Methods

I first attempted the new Easy Off Method, if you’re not familiar check your search page. It’s fascinating, however it didn’t work on this piece. I hear it’s really dependent on the type of wood.

My go to method is usually Citristrip. Lay it on thick, cover with Saran Wrap and scrape it off after about an hour. Be careful to not let it dry out. This method can be messy but pretty straight forward.

This table however, I simply sanded it down to a raw wood. I used a wood bleach kit to lighten the wood and make it a little less orange. And then I sealed it with my favorite top coat by @generalfinishes called “Flat Out Flat.” It doesn’t leave a yellow finish and keeps the wood a pure raw color.
