It feels like not long ago - mainly because it wasn’t that long ago - that I was wearing this outfit with BARE legs! Seriously, how? While I was forced to trade the denim skirt in for jeans (skinny or girlfriend) or ponte pants, this blazer and t-shirt combo is still a mainstay in my wardrobe. Do you ever get so excited about a sale that you quickly fill your online cart with alllll the things and then look at the total and kind of just cry, because you know - budgets? When you want fall but you’re still holding on to summer, let your nails do the talking 💅🏻 Im really loving this combo of a little bit of taupe-less beach and a little bit of don’t bossanova me around (my favorite @opi color). I usually get sick of nail polish realllllly quickly, and tend to chip them very easily, so I love trying out different combos or funky colors since I know I won’t be wearing it for it for long. But I still always manage to play it safe and pick neutral colors 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you’re like me and you tend to shy away from experimenting with anything too trendy, but you still want to try something new, pick two colors from the same family that complement each other while still being a little “different.” Yes, these may still be neutrals, but I love that it’s a little more funky than a normal manicure and somehow, I’m still wearing it / not tired of it and it’s been almost a week! On Wednesday, I made a joke that it was already starting to feel like fall, and then Friday came in like, “hold my beer,” and really showed us what fall was all about. Good vibes is one way to describe my feelings about the Nordstrom Annoversary Sale. And believe it or not, I think I’m actually done shopping 💁🏻‍♀️ This sweater is easily one of my favorite purchases. I’m keeping the tags on and crossing my fingers that it’s restocked soon, because I would love to size down. This is a large, and while it’s super somfortable, I think a medium would look a little more polished and be more versatile in the office and on the weekends. It’s lightweight, the perfect length (it looks short in this photo, but it actually hits a couple inches above my knee - I’m 5’6ish) and ummm less than $10!! I’m always between a medium and large, and went for a large so that it would be a little looser - I’m glad I did. On a 100 degree day like today, I really wish this breezy, tropical outfit was office appropriate 🤷🏻‍♀️ Lightweight and flowy and bright and feminine - perfect for a beach vacation or a sticky, hot Chicago day ☀️ I love midi and maxi skirts, because they always make me feel put together even when my hair is frizzy and I’m sweating. The prettiest blooms to Bogotá 🌺 We were only there for two short days, but one of my favorite outings was to the fruit and flower market, Plaza de Mercado de Paloquemao.
