Impulse things I bought: sunscreen ☀️

This is Orange Gelée SPF 30 from Vacation Inc.
They also a made the whipped cream sunscreen (that is also actually really good)

This felt like a really rich cleansing balm going on the skin— it was super moisturizing (it has Shea butter) and although my kids didn’t like it I felt like a greased up glowing goddess by the pool.

Balm-to-oil form melts on skin — it’s Hawaii reef friendly (posting this while in Maui) but I can’t say I would use this on the beach since I would instantly look like a sand crab. 🦀

It has a specific scent— one we couldn’t place. It has notes of Bergamot, Clove, Saffron, Patchouli and Sandalwood

I like itttttt. No regrets with this one 👙

I had zero expectations for this gel sunscreen

I usually find gel sunscreen slightly too greasy and also have an issue with them peeling and balling up underneath makeup …

this new gel sunscreen from @sunbum exceeded my expectations — (honestly I’m not sure if this is new or really how long it’s been out aside from the fact that I have never heard of it! )

Sunscreen for people who don’t like sunscreen
Beauty Of Joseon has been the viral SPF hit maker for years now.
But I dont really hear anyone talking about this sunscreen serum…

Ginseng Moist Sun Serum (SPF 50+ PA++++)

This feels like a serum, it then moisturizes and absorbs quickly. It doesnt have any cast or sunscreen smell.

This is a winner especially if you have dry, sensitive skin and don’t typically enjoy sunscreen.

Keep in mind this has niacinamide in it which is great in moderation. It’s a skin barrier boosting ingredient that also helps visibly reduce the appearance of pore size.
BUT a lot of brands are putting vitamin C in their skin care products since it’s Buzzy and effective and also relatively easy to add in since it plays well with pretty much every skincare ingredient.

The drop back to this is if you are using a hydrating serum that has niacinamide as well as a moisturizer that has my niacinamide and then you put on a sunscreen that has niacinamide …. That’s might be too much niacinamide for your skin.

And instead of it being this wonderful skin barrier boosting ingredient, you could be left with irritated skin.

The point is to just be mindful of the ingredients that you are putting on your skin and avoid layering niacinamide in every skin care step. Because too much of a good thing is still too much.

I’ve had many conversations with people who talk about adding in a skincare product that has niacinamide, and they find that it leaves their skin irritated and angry. But we are able to figure out that it wasn’t necessarily the skincare product that was the issue, it was actually the combination of products all containing Niacinamide that sent their skin over the edge.

this is a dry body oil as well as a face top up stick

It’s definitely moisturizing and leaves a glowy finish.
Which is also why it’s not removing my make up.
It’s a dry oil based unstick, so it can apply on top of my skin and make up

Please know that literally every stick and sunscreen application over make up will remove at least some make up. Some wayyyyyy more than others.

This is a good one! Oily skin may not love this one but my combo dry skin is perfectttttt for this type of sunscreen stick

finding an everyday mineral spf ✨ I want my skin to glow and still look like my skin— but better

Today I’m using the @naked_sundays CabanaGlow SPF 50 Mineral Glow Serum Drops PEARL

As you can see, I was pretty nervous at first because I have not been a fan of a lot of mineral sunscreens due to how thick and heavy they feel and chalky they appear on my skin.

End results- turns out I really love this one and I think it’s nice how you can mix this sunscreen with the bronze version as well. They were created with identical mineral filters so it’s possible to mix and match to find your ideal shade without compromising the effectiveness of the sunscreen filters.

Which is pretty genius

I just learned there are actually three different shades to mix and match.

this shimmer sunscreen is more subtle than most of the shimmer sunscreens. I have tried which I enjoy. Especially for a make up free day outside.

this is not a water resistant sunscreen, which is why it’s called glow you’re supposed to stay in the cabana and look super cute 😉

It doesn’t smell like crayons but I kinda think that would be a vibe.
Someone said it’s a Y2K SUMMER ✨👾🦄 glitter sunscreen and butterfly clips. Thinking about going back to my lime green nokia and playing a few games of snake.

It smells like strawberry jam and yes you can feel the glitter all over your body. It’s giving ✨I put on lotion and rolled in sand✨ which honestly feels nostalgic in so many ways
