I always knew I wanted to be a mother. It is the most rewarding and most difficult job I’ve ever done.

I love this little boy more than life but I would be lying if I said that I haven’t felt a little discouraged the past few days. I’d be lying if I told you that I didn’t look at other new moms on here that seemingly have it all figured out, just to feel like I’m doing it wrong. I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t feel like the worst mom in the world for wishing that just once, maybe, I could put him down and he would sleep in his swing long enough for me to shower.

My sweet boy wants to be with mama all the time. I can’t put him down without screams. They say you can’t spoil a newborn, so I’m trying to savor these moments knowing they won’t last forever. One day he won’t need mommy to fall asleep or to soothe his cries. One day he won’t rely on me for food and comfort and literally, everything. And when that day comes, I know I’ll be wishing we could go back to this exact moment. I love this little boy more than life, but motherhood is hard, but I also wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world.

So today, we aid these tired eyes with all the coffee in this cute “mama bear” mug & thank the Heavens for baby wraps so we can at least go to the bathroom & maybe get some laundry done today.

|2 0 2 1| • my year of growth + change

This year was one of the hardest yet, but also the best year of my life. The year I became a MOTHER 🤍

Here’s what I learned in the last 365 days:
• I am STRONG + my body is MAGICAL
• I am no longer 20 years old + I physically can’t do everything I used to be able to do after having a baby/injuring my back + that’s OKAY.
• Mental health struggles are so very COMMON + so very debilitating + there is no shame in seeking help.
• I am an anxious person but I am CAPABLE of managing it.
• I was made to be a MAMA + I didn’t know such a love existed until I met my baby boy.
• There are things in life far more important than your social media presence (like FAMILY + mental health)
• SLEEP is important + I’m a hot mess without it.
• There will be seasons where working out/maintaining a nice physique take a backseat + that is OKAY.
• My child has made me a sappy, EMOTIONAL being who cries at the silliest things.
• The world can be a scary place but there are GOOD people left + it’s our job to RAISE good people.
• It’s OKAY to say NO, to ask for HELP, + to not feel guilty about taking time to YOURSELF.
• Not everyone is going to like you or agree with you/your lifestyle/your parenting + that should not stop you from doing what you LOVE or how you life your life.

It’s been a year of learning, a year of struggle, a year of BIG blessings, and so much love ❤️ Cheers 🥂 to a New Year, new opportunities + hope for the future 🎊

Our WILD child is ⭐️EIGHT MONTHS OLD⭐️ today! Callahan’s personality is BOOMING and we’ve got ourselves quite the rambunctious little boy. He’s got to have his hands into everything, will not sit still for a second and beats mom and dad up daily with this wildly flailing arms, head butts, pinches, scratches, and never ending jumping. Still no teeth even though he’s been “teething” for months and no interest in saying “mama” or “dada” no matter how much we encourage it, but he sure does keep the house nice & loud! He is sitting independently, reaching, and wanting to crawl so badly! We introduced peanut butter & eggs this month and he loooves the peanut butter but still trying to figure out the texture of eggs 😂 we could not be more in love with our sweet boy!! ❤️❤️

Callahan likes:
•being outside 🌳
•”petting” Stella girl 🐱
•bouncing, rolling, wallowing around 🤸
•eating eating and more eating🍌🫐🍼
•blowing raspberries 👄

Little monkey is ⭐️TWO MONTHS OLD⭐️ today! I still can’t believe that he’s ours. The past 2 months have been so much fun watching him grow and seeing his little personality develop. He is the absolute sweetest little boy with a “mild” temper that he likes to show every night around 8pm or when he’s hungry 😅 He has been smiling intentionally for about 3 weeks now and it absolutely melts our hearts! He is rolling from tummy to back & has recently discovered his hands. He’s growing like a weed and is weighing over 11lbs and his eyes are getting bluer everyday!💙

Callahan likes:
