Sometimes life comes at you so quickly it’s hard to see & appreciate Gods hand in the details.

When I was in my early 20’s I was really good at journaling in a gratitude journal but somewhere along the way I stopped doing it. I want to start it up again because I feel like it makes me a more thankful human.

There is nothing more beautiful then looking for the good in life even in the mess. I feel like when my mind is searching for Gods hands in my life I start to see how often he truly has been here all along.

I think we can all agree that Last year was crazy! I remember at the beginning of quarantine we had been in our house for about 1 week and the world seemed like it was nothing but chaos.

Here in Utah I remember going to bed one night feeling thankful to have a home where I felt safe. The next morning in the early hrs I was jolted awake by an aggressive shaking. I could hear glass shattering around me and I remember feeling complete terror. I shot out of bed with my puppy in my arms looking at my husband & I remember saying “WHAT DO WE DO” this was an earthquake & we were in the top floor of a condo. I wasn’t prepared. I didn’t know what to grab. What to do, where to go.

I felt so helpless & so did my husband. I didn’t like that feeling… so I’m the coming days & months I started putting together a grab bag in the event that this should ever happen again. Everytime I went to put stuff in my bag it felt disorganized & I couldn’t find things whenever it went into the bag. My home made grab bags didn’t work & I felt like I was back at square one. That’s where @readysetjudy comes in.

My Judy has EVERYTHING I couldn’t possibly need in the event of an emergency & it’s organized. As soon as it arrived I felt relieved. I love how it’s bright color helps me find it quickly & the labels on the boxes makes it so easy to know right where everything is. It feels so good to have my peace of mind back. The world may feel chaotic but I’m thankful my home feels safe again. #readysetjudy #judypartner

This week was hard, but life is hard sometimes. I kinda felt like this week was similar to the expression “when it rains it pours” but my Mother in law spoke yesterday at her dads funeral & said that something her dad used to always say is that “you can always find someone worse off than you. “ it’s got me thinking a lot & Instead of sharing all the hard things about this week I want to share the good.

This week I got to spend quality time with my Dad . I will forever cherish this week with him.

This week I started my period which means my body is functioning and I’m thankful for that.

This week we were able to celebrate Grandpa Ladd. He was kind, sharp, and always made me laugh.

This week my sweet husband started a new job & I am forever thankful for him. He is so hardworking and my rock. I love that we get to do life together.

This week I started a new volunteer position in my church working with the young women & my heart is so full & excited for that.

We got to spend so much time with family & I am thankful that life is feeling a little more back to normal. It’s nice to be able to see loved ones & gather again without masks.

Hope you had such a great week I missed you!!

3. Delete, and unfollow people who cause you to feel less than, cause you to compare, or no longer serve you in a positive manner.

4. Get rid of everything in your closet that does not fit you today. No more thoughts of "this will fit me when i ____" Your body is worthy of cute and fun clothing today!

5. Write yourself a letter to your younger self and tell her how proud you are of her.

6. Write down a list of women you admire and why you admire them. Try to see how you are similar to them. I promise you are more. similar to them then you may think.

Visibility & representation is important.
