There was one day last week that I stepped outside in the morning and thought, “yes, it finally feels like fall.” I say *yes* and *finally* because when it comes to men’s style, fall is the season I look forward to most. And for three specific reasons: coats, sweaters, and boots. Recently, I’ve really been thinking very simply when it comes to my fall style and choosing stark seasonal color palettes with a high-contrast element. Let’s start with the former. Those who know me know that I can never say “no” to brown any time of the year, but particularly in the fall. And the amazing, online exclusive, faux nubuck barn coat with shearling lining and boots—both from @menswearhouse—are the perfect fall pieces. Fall also means sweater weather and rather than going completely tonal, I’ve chosen a black turtleneck and paired it with some stone chinos for an extremely high contrast. And don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t pair black and brown together—it not only works, but it can be striking.
