The Wedding People was one of those books that surprised me in the best way. Funny, awkward, emotional, and somehow really comforting all at once. I loved the messy, real characters and found myself thinking about them long after I finished reading. Definitely worth the hype.

I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to finish this book and ended up giving it five stars. It begins with something horrific happening to a child and I didn’t think I could get past it. Somehow, the beautiful storytelling wins it all. It’s both heart wrenching and heart warming at the same time. Definitely not a feel good book, but an excellent read.
