If you’ve been here for a while, you know Miller Harris ‘Scherzo’ has been my signature fragrance since owning my first bottle in 2022. It’s the scent most people would associate me with and perhaps the most sentimental fragrance of my 20s. So much so I wrote an entire Substack about it!

I discovered they were launching an ‘Extrait’ version of the fragrance and immediately wanted to try it. Genuinely, I can’t pick a favourite, so here are my thoughts…

The original Scherzo is just home to me. It’s everything I love in a fragrance - sweet rose with a rich oud that smells effortlessly sexy, sophisticated, and empowering. I’ve never been without a bottle because it’s basically a part of my identity at this point.

The new ‘Scherzo Extrait’ has everything I love about the original but with more intensity. It smells deeper, sexier, and more opulent. It’s like the darker, more intense sister of Scherzo I’d want to wear for an evening at the theater, date night with my partner, or an event where I want to leave a lasting impression.

• Velvet Brew: A warm, rich amber perfume with musky, spicy, coffee and nutty notes, perfect as a sexy evening fragrance with a deep, sophisticated scent. (This one is my absolute favourite!)

• Cashmere Muse: A clean, fresh musky perfume with soft floral, bergamot, mandarin blossom, ylang ylang, tonka and salted musk notes, an effortless fragrance for everyday.

• Blush Wood: A soft, feminine floral perfume with vanilla, rose, honeysuckle, gardenia and woody cedarwood notes, giving a romantic, creamy and subtly sweet fragrance.

- I've been wearing Miller Harris fragrances for years and have never been without a bottle. My absolute top 2 are Scherzo & Oud Eclat.

- I discovered Fragrance Du Bois 'Sirené' in 2024 and it's genuinely one of the most intoxicating scents I've ever experienced. Super pricey, but I've had this bottle for two years and she only comes out when I want to make a statement.

- Gucci Intense is gorgeous. More on the affordable side and smells divine! She's a great all-rounder for day to night if you want to smell feminine yet draw attention.
