Calling this my Eclipse Dress. Loved the shape of this cute cotton number and the circular appliqué was definitely giving by me eclipse vibes. The weather didn’t white warrant a sleeveless cotton dress, but I was pleased with how it paired with my favorite boyfriend blazer! And leopard heels because they always make a basic look more exciting ☺️

I’ve held on hard to a 2 week rotation policy with my clothes my whole life, so the fact that I styled this vest two days in a row was out of character. The day I realized the value of a well made navy suit, my whole approach to getting dressed changed. The styling options are endless, and it always manages to look pulled-together even when I’m feeling totally uninspired to get dressed. You know that feeling when you buy a new wardrobe piece for the upcoming season but think to yourself (in your best Veruca Salt voice) “but I want to wear it noooooow”? I picked up this blue and white floral midi skirt with visions of wearing it in warm weather with a simple tank top, straw bag and flat sandals. Cut to last week when the temps were still decidedly chilly and I took a stab at styling this skirt for the moment. I’m happy with how it turned out!

This is just a love note to my new bag. I’m not really a “bag person”. I don’t invest in designer handbags - not that I wouldn’t love to, nor do I dismiss their quality. I just tend to opt for the simplicity route when it comes to my handbags. I want a bag that works for a multitude of occasions, and nothing feels more tedious to me than swapping my handbag daily. So if I buy a bag, it’s got to work for me (and also werk for me) all day every day. I took a chance on this new Madewell tote, and after two weeks and a bit of travel, it’s officially getting my stamp of approval! I liked the ivory color for spring, the double strap is super functional, and it holds a lot without looking like luggage. Namely, it holds my beloved water bottle and my go-to notebook so I’ll count that as a win. 🤍
