XXS skirt measures 12” across the elastic waistband, Xs measured 12.5” across

• Rocco vest 0 matte pearl - shrunken fit, runs slim and narrow at the bust so I sized up. I recommend sizing up if you are above an A cup or between sizes to minimize pulling at the chest buttons.

This is one of those super easy yet sophisticated pieces that you can run out the door in with minimal styling

Skims the body and doesn’t cling to my tummy or rear. Great for bloated days, also maternity / pregnancy friendly.

The accordion pleat material is *not a soft, flowy fabric, rather has some structure to it and is lightweight. Maxi length on me with side slits and looks cute with flat sandals, Mary Jane flats, and a tall boot.

Winter basics

Sweatpants:
• Aritzia cozy fleece mega cargo sweatpant in heather chrome size xs short. Quality thick fleece with a soft lining and pull string inside the waistband. Since I’ll be lounging in these I went size up at the waist.

Outfit:

• Madewell turtleneck xxs - a great basic for layering, I own in several colors!

• J. Crew slim wide jeans 24 P - J. Crew jeans run about a half size big for me but I don't mind a little extra room at the waist these days. These are one of J. Crew's most flattering petite jeans!

• Aritzia Constant coat xxs (oversized on petites) in the wool cashmere material. This particular material is thick and one of the warmest aritzia coats I’ve tried. The wool cashmere is a thicker, plush feeling material that is heavier weight than their regular wool material and fits me oversized

See this jacket styled differently in a recent post with wide leg jeans - absolutely loved that outfit!

• aritzia Regal blazer in cool gray 00 - this is the jacket version of the regal vest (linked and would recommend) I love and wore so much last year!

The jacket cut is fitted and slim, I’m between sizes 00 or 0. For the vest I sized up to 0 but for this jacket I stayed with 00 so it’s fitted. Sleeves fit long on me - I have 2 inches folded under here.

Comes in matching colors in the effortless cropped or full length pant. I wear Shorter in the full length effortless trouser since it runs long

I also linked the golightly cardigan bc it has a nipped in waist silhouette and is a nice sweater alternative to this blazer

Trying on the sale Aritzia Connor wrap coat, one of their classics that come back each year.

This is the shorter version, and I’m trying on xxs which is slim fit and flattering on me with sleeves a tad long.

It also comes in a longer length which I personally like since I prefer midi lengths

For fabric choices, there is melton or virgin wool which is thinner and more slim fit looking , and also wool cashmere which feels slightly thicker with a plush hand feel

Connor coat comes in a long vs short version and several different fabrics. Prices vary based on color! The soft wool cashmere feels a little more luxe.

Runs big; size down if you can

The Constant coat is one of their core styles that comes back each year in different materials and colors. I’ve found that depending on how thick the material is, the coat will fit a little bit differently!

The wool cashmere is a thicker, plush feeling material that is heavier weight than their regular wool material. In this material the coat feels a little big and long on a petite frame, but is extra warm if you like an oversized maxi coat look. The merino or lighter weight wool Constant coats feel less thick and slimmer fit.

• pleated skirt Xxs, previously I had suggested sizing up but with ny weight fluctuations I went back to xxs. the wide waistband is elastic and very stretchy. The Pleats are very airy and floaty with a full lining

I have a 25” waist and can fit 00 short but the 0 short is a little more comfortable, so I sized up this time.

FYI the short length at Aritzia is still on the longer side (28.5” inseam) and I need to wear with high heels.

The most versatile pant for me is actually their cropped (also linked) which I get in 0 regular!.

If you’re ordering online be sure to check the tag upon receipt to make sure you got the right style and length. Once I received the regular length even though I ordered short!

Trying on xxs Short in Burnt Cedar

Aritzia makes 2 coat styles in petite! They call it “Short,” but the entire garment is adjusted for shorter proportions like American Petite sizing, including the coat length, overall fit and the sleeve length. The two styles are:

1.) Slouch coat in (Re) camel Wool, Slouch coat in Wool Cashmere (may be thinner weight than the Recamel Wool one)

2.) New Stedman Coat

The Slouch coat runs very oversized while the Stedman is a little more slim fit.

I have on XXS Short in the Slouch Coat (Re) camel Wool and it’s a generous, roomy fit with plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath. Some reviews suggested sizing down.

Coat is very nice quality and truly a plush, thick, warmer coat but doesn’t feel heavy. There is an internal lining between the layers that adds extra insulation without heaviness.

• Levi’s Wedgie Straight jeans in 24 x 26, “space to think” wash which is a grainy medium blue

• Gentle Souls by Kenneth Cole suede ankle bootie 5.5. I walk miles in these! Runs a little narrow so I sized up to my bigger half size. comfy, well cushioned and with arch support. Slim stretchy shaft with zipper is comfortable and easy to fit under pants and jeans leg openings.

Little black pleated dress. So flattering and a bit sexy but also elegant and has a little structure. See a different post where I have these on with the leopard kitten heels.

• Aritzia dress size 00, very petite friendly. The 00 Measures 12” across the waist (24” around waist) and about 15” across the bust, material has just a little stretch and back zipper.

This dress fits pretty snug on me, so a 0 would likely be more comfortable for me. With Aritzia items I’m often in between a 00 and 0 as my weight fluctuates.

• schutz Maryana sculpt black suede boots 5.5. Got these a few years ago and still love!

These fit a little small in the foot and narrow at the calf - I am usually a 5 or 5.5 and def needed the 5.5 . Very sexy and flattering but fyi it is a pull on style and fairly slim fit in this size.

Also linked sam Edelman boots that have a lower heel and taller shaft. The size 5 in the Sam Edelman boots were a fairly slim fit on me but calf size goes up with shoe size!

Gentle Souls booties have several different style names and they pretty much all fit & feel the same and look super similar except for the heel shape. I own the Emily and Ebert in different colors (black, chocolate, beige)

I have on XXS Short in the Slouch Coat (Re) camel Wool and it’s a generous, roomy fit with plenty of room to layer a sweater underneath. Some reviews suggested sizing down. Coat is very nice quality and truly a plush, thick, warmer coat but doesn’t feel heavy. There is an internal lining between the layers that adds extra insulation without heaviness.

Finally had a chance to try on this gorgeous Aritzia tailored coat! fYi this is one size bigger than my usual aritzia size since that’s all they had in store

• Aritzia Ortilia wool cashmere coat in “Saville” color - trying on xs which is a little big on me and sleeves were long. my usual xxs is available online!

This is a uniquely designed and warm midi length coat with a plush, thicker fabric . The shawl style collar has buttons and can be worn flipped up or down, and there is a row of hidden inner buttons to help the wrap style coat be secured underneath the sash tie.

• J. Crew slim wide jeans 24P - J. Crew jeans run about a half size big for me but I don’t mind a little extra room at the waist these days. These are one of J. Crew’s best cut petite jeans! Love them with flats, boots, or heels.

TTS for Aritzia (which runs smaller than other brands) and fitted on me so I sized up to a 0. Thicker weight material and fully lined.

Fabric does show some creasing after sitting down so I’d suggest a darker color which usually masks wrinkles better.
