Wedding guests outfit ideas for all budgets

It’s wedding season so I thought to show you all the DIY projects I made as a maid of honour to my best friend’s wedding! So pack with me the handmade veil I made for my best friend for her bachelorette! Actually I made two, one for the bride that got married last October and I was the maid of honour and one for the bride that will get married this July!
Both packages were identical, only the box was different.
I handmade both veils. I bought glittery tulle fabric, sew-on pearls and hair barrette clips. I handsewn first the clip on the fabric and then handsewn the pearls as well.
Each veil has the initials of the couple embroidered and something that symbolises their nicknames from their husbands.
If you are wondering, no I didn’t know how to embroider before this! I’m just delusional and I thought “How difficult can it be? If others can do it, I can do it as well!” 😂 I made it indeed but it took a few tries and a couple of days to make them presentable 😝 I used a marker to mark the design and went over it with the thread. Keep in mind that you can only do a straight line because it’s visible from both sides so it need to look neat.

DIY projects we did for my best friend’s bachelorette party in which I was the maid of honour. The sign and the invitation were made exclusively by Eirini, I did all the handmade crafty things and Adobe Express AI did the menu drawings and envelope liners! The food for the brunch was made by us and our parents and the decor as well! I couldn’t pull this off without the help of my friends, our parents and Adobe!
Honestly I couldn’t recommend Adobe programs enough, and specifically Adobe Express. It saved me lots of time and money and I think it’s a great tool for future brides or maid of honours that love DIY or are on a budget.
The bride loved the 3 day celebration and we had lot’s of fun, so it was overall a huge success! I still can’t believe how fabulous the food looked like!

I know you are probably done with the wedding content but the jewellery I wore needed their moment on the feed!
I wore them all already many times before and they are all very special to me. If you know me for a while you know that I like to celebrate work successes by giving me gifts and what is a better gift than jewellery! I bought all 4 of them for different work successes in the last 3 years.
The tennis necklace and earrings are a Swarovski set that would make the perfect gift for your loved ones that are looking for something elegant that can be worn both on special occasions and not.
The ring is also from Swarovski and is perfect for whoever wants bling bling but minimal and dainty.
The tennis bracelet is from Pandora and is perfect for anyone with small wrists. Honestly till I bought this bracelet I used to despise bracelets due to them being very big on my wrists. But this one fits perfectly and is so sparkly 😍 I truly adore it!

A closer look to the outfit I wore on the wedding party of my best friend’s wedding as her maid of honour!
I made this set back in May specifically to wear it to the wedding party. We chose the fabrics together with the bride and it brings me tears of joy to be able to say I made it to wear it to one of the happiest days of my life!
I shot the first part of the video back in May and it was how I imagined styling the two piece. I’m glad I didn’t wear extentions on the wedding day and I love how my hair turned out that day. When in doubt less is more in my opinion! I wanted something that was elegant, timeless and I wouldn’t regret it when I’ll see the pictures in 20 years from now!
The only thing I changed on the black glitter top is the bow on the sleeves. As you can see the bow on the original video is way less extravagant than the one on the wedding day. At the very last minute I chose to add more fabric and it made all the difference! The original bow looked a bit sad and you couldn’t even tell it was a bow immediately.
Because this is a handmade two piece set I can’t link the exact product but I linked similar options for you ☺️
Regarding the shoes, I started the night with black blocked high heels but halfway through I changed to ballet flats in nude colour so I can dance pain free!

I totally forgot to post the outfit I wore on the day of the wedding when I was getting ready. As every other outfit I wore on the wedding (or wedding activities) this is also in blue colour! The pjs are silk from Intimissimi and are very soft. I wore them 3 times so far and I already see signs of damage. I’m very surprised though because I own a lit of things from Intimissimi and they last forever. So I’m not sure if the problem is the silk or the way I wash it. They were perfect for the wedding day though so no regrets!

The outfit I wore to my best friend’s wedding party as her maid of honour.

After the ceremony I changed my outfit to a mini black glitter set to be able to dance freely. My ceremony dress was fabulous but it was floor length when wearing 9cm heels. I wore heels from 4pm to 1:30am but then changed to flats. I knew that ones I changed to flats I would step on my dress so I decided months in advance to change my outfit.
After starting sewing I love creating clothes to wear to the most special days of my life and my best friend’s wedding was for sure a top 3! I made this black glittery dress but in May and I couldn’t wait to wear it. I’m so happy with how it turned out and I love how it shines!

I’ve started the wedding recap over on my social media accounts and I realized I never posted the details if my disco outfit here!
I chose silver jewellery, glittery silver nail polish, a black bag with a silver bow and a cute little blue hair accessory in a star shape. My eye makeup is in blue and grey tones to match with the blue theme that I wanted to keep on all the wedding outfits.
For the bachelorette I created cute and minimal bracelets with ribbon and pearls. I had a light pink as a maid of honour and the other friends had a bright pink. Obviously the bride had white 😛
For my eye makeup look I used Colourpop eyeshadows. The blue and grey are my friend’s super shock eyeshadows that are not available anymore on the website. They have blue palettes though with identical colours that I used. For the rest I used the It’s a Princess Thing eye palette from Colourpop that I love!

My best friend is officially married!!!

After 21 years of being lucky to call her my best friend and feel like she is my sister we are officially family ❤️ I was her koumbara last Saturday, maid of honour in a Greek Orthodox wedding ☺️ It’s an absolute honour to be next to her and her husband in the ceremony!
The dress we chose together for me to wear was both our favourite from all the dresses I’ve tried. It’s a navy blue floor length tulle dress and it looks great next to hers 🥰 I combined it with silver jewellery and a pair of nude slingback pumps.

There are many traditions in a Greek Orthodox wedding. One of them is call “Make the bed”. Basically the single friends of the bride are making the bridal bed in which the couple will sleep on the first night after the wedding. This is the outfit I wore on that day as the koumbara (maid of honour). The colours of the wedding were blue and green and I’ve decided to keep a blue theme on all the outfits I wore regarding the wedding.

I wore a light blue top with a navy blue pair of wide pants. A pair of burgundy pumps and a pink bag completed the look. I went for gold accessories. My favourite long Chanel earrings, a gold minimal necklace, a gold bracelet with rhinestones and a Swarovski gold ring. Swipe to see me on the actual day. Unfortunately I didn’t have a full outfit shot from the day so I had to re-shoot it again. I forgot the watch though, oops 🙈

Bachelorette outfit day 3 out of 3!

On the last day we planned a brunch in my parents garden and it turned out fabulous! For the occasion I wore a light blue top with puff sleeves, a light blue long tulle skirt and black mary jane shoes. The vibe of the party was an autumn garden and I wanted my outfit to be romantic. I stayed in the blue theme of the wedding as well!

It is a custom in Greece that when you become a koumbara (maid if honour) or koumbaros (best man) you give a very good gift to the couple and they give you one as well. Most likely their gift is a piece of jewellery. So on the last day of the bachelorette there was no question regarding the jewellery I would wear!
If you know me you know I’m obsessed with pearls (and the Little Mermaid Disney movie 🙈🧜🏻‍♀️). So you can imagine my excitement when I saw the gift that the couple got me! It’s honestly what I would wished for. It’s minimal, timeless, goes with everything and has pearls!

Party nails!

It’s bachelorette time! The bachelorette is gonna be a 3 day event and we start the first day with disco! 🕺🏻 For the occasion I obviously had to match my nails as well! I will change them twice for the bachelorette weekend so I opted for a normal nail polish. My outfit is black and silver so a glittery silver nail polish is the gonna match perfectly!

This pink long dress has the most elegant neckline. I also love the slit because is not very high and allows you to be able to move freely. Keep in mind I’m petite so the slit will end up higher in a taller person. It would be amazing as a wedding guest outfit for a chic look. When it comes to wedding outfits I try to answer the question “Will I regret wearing it when I see photos in 20 years?”. If the answer is maybe then the outfit is not great! Especially if you are very close to the couple your photos will end up in many people’s houses 😂 It’s a fabulous option for bridemaids outfits as well!

The love this lilac outfit got on social media makes me happy because it was my favourite out of the four as well! It’s a corset and a long skirt but they match so well together that you can think is a dress. The lilac colour is perfect for the spring and summer season, plus the 3D flowers make it more fun! It’s ideal for the weddig season as it can make a fabulous outfit for wedding guests. I would love it also as a bridemaids look!
