When we redesigned our living room this last winter we did so with much thought and intentionality. Our biggest question was; how do we want our family to live and how can our home create an environment where we felt rest and peace but also purpose and identity. One of our biggest changes was taking our tv out of our main living space and moving it to the office. This allowed us to create a family mission and vision statement that became the focus of our space. We also took away a large majority of the toys in the house, thanks to Simplicity Parenting, allowing for more imaginative play and less overwhelm for both boys and parents.
