The best part of new beginnings is the potential of new possibilities 🦋 After watching @katrinascott on the @si_swimsuit runway, I am inspired more than ever to build a life & legacy that I am proud of. To feel confident in my own skin. To do what I love and not let anything or anyone hold me back.

In 6 weeks, I will be headed to the beaches of sunny California. I want to not think twice about putting on a bikini and wearing it other then to tan in or play in a baby splash pad in the backyard. I’ll be honest that I have tried to start and stay consistent in a workout routine, but it hasn’t quite happened. No better time then the present, so #tiu640 let’s do this!! 💪🏼

Celebrating 1 year postpartum and the start of @katrinascott new program 6:40 on Monday, I thought I would share a progress photo/ before photo.

My journey the past year hasn’t been at all what I expected. I thought as soon as I was cleared to exercise, I would jump right in. That still hasn’t been the case, even after a year. Being consistent with workouts has been a struggle! Not just because my time is spent a little different now, but also, I swear gaining muscle is twice as hard. My body hurts in places I’ve never had problems with before. I have enjoyed walking a lot and playing some tennis, but lifting weights & HIIT workouts kill me! 😅

All this to say that I am proud of how far I have come. This past year was challenging in many different ways. I still have a ways to go and want to build more muscle. Also, eat more balanced meals and definitely drink more water. I’m excited to start a new fitness challenge.
