Project office organization overhaul: ✅ COMPLETE! (sponsored) It’s been years since I’ve revisited my office storage needs and as a priority early 2022 project, it was eye opening to see how some of my “systems” no longer served me. While some areas had turned into a mess, others were still relatively tidy — they just weren’t being used how they should be and some were wasting valuable storage real estate. Example: I had a one-piece drawer organizer in one of the drawers but the format and angled compartments was doing me no favors in terms of customization and 1”+ of wasted space between each compartment. All organizers and tools featured were found at @walmart and can be found linked in the LTK app. I used three sets of the stackable, modular clear drawer inserts throughout two HUGE drawers and still have several left over. I’ve even ordered a few more sets for other spaces ;)
A few tips before jumping in…
1. Clear everything out. And, if you have other items throughout the house that are better suited for the room/space you’re tackling, bring those in.
2. If you don’t use it, discard it. If you’ve amassed 674 pens collected from your dentist, pest control, etc. and only use a couple, get rid of them!
3. Group like items into piles and determine if each category should be broken down further. Gauge the size of the items and the quantities. Would you be best served by configurable drawer inserts? Drawer dividers? A combination of both?
4. Arrange in an easy-to-access system that works for YOU and YOUR ITEMS and remember… a styled space filled with organizers does not an organized space make ;) Organizers are an essential part, but equally important is the SYSTEM that you create!
