Target find! 🎯 I do love my kitchen gadgets and sometimes the most unexpected tools are the ones you use the most. I did not think I needed a meat smasher but when I saw it, I took a chance. Little did I know that I would love it and use it all the time.

It does such a better job of breaking up the ground meat than a spatula or wooden spoon and it makes it cook faster. If you are someone who is always running late with dinner, you know how precious the mealtime minutes are.

Real talk: we are SHORT on space. Our townhouse kitchen is small, and our cupboards are bursting at the seams. I wish I could hide all our appliances in the cupboards, but there is literally not enough space for them. So aesthetic kitchen appliances, it is! 🍴

This is the Our Place Dream cooker in the color char, but it also comes in blue, tan, and a warm orange. This is one appliance that I don’t feel like I have to hide away (not that I could anyway); it pressure cooks, slow cooks, sautes, and more.

I used it to make our favorite coconut nice (recipe below), and combined it with sheet pan roasted salmon and broccoli to make an easy weeknight dinner.

🍚 Coconut rice recipe: Combine a 14oz can of full fat coconut milk, 1.5 cups of water, 1 tbsp of onion powder, 1 tbsp of garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 2 cups of jasmine rice. Cook on high for 3 minutes and then let the pressure release naturally. Enjoy!
