Probably our top "on the go" travel toy are any of these magnetic dress up characters! This set has lasted 5 years and through 3 kids. I'm linking a bunch of opting to choose from plus our bags we store these in. So great for packing in a backpack for restaurants, waiting rooms, etc. Recommend for 2-5years old with close supervision for younger toddlers due to small pieces.

Grabbed this play dough set post holidays at the grocery store on sale! It's on sale on Amazon right now too. Makes an easy gift for 3-6 year olds or just some cold/snowy/rainy day activity. I try to grab things like this when they're on sale to save for those days we are stuck indoors. I linked a few other ones we've played with/gifted along with these play dough mats. move over candy land and monopoly, I've found the family games you'll want to play! 🎲♟️

We've tried out a bunch of games lately, but there are 5 clear favorites that we love playing (with kids ages 3 1/2 and 6 1/2) It does take a little help for my 3 year old to play, but he got the hang of it and can pretty much play on his own now! It's been a great way to end our day after the youngest goes to bed.

Here's my 5 favorite games to play as a family:
1. Mantis: It's pretty much a color matching card game with a little strategy so if your kids know their colors they can play. It's quick to play probably about 15 minutes.
2. Taco vs Burrito: this has been our go to game! Little kids can easily recognize what each card means, understand the strategy of it, and my kids love yelling "no bueno" when they are blocking a play.
3. Hurry Up Chicken Butt: this one does involve some moving and being silly, which my kids loved! The timer chicken is a hit too! It can get a little loud but it such a fun game.
4. Animals Upon Animals: you have to stack animals one on top of the other and if you make it fall you lose! Bonus: works on fine motor skills and coordination.
5. Guess in 10: there's a bunch of varieties (we have the Disney and the animals ones) it's like 20 questions but only 10 and focuses on a topic. My 3 year old struggles with some of the Disney names, but he likes the animal one. It's a great game to play at dinner or when traveling because it's compact.
