We’ve been so busy this week! All day every day styling, hanging pictures, adding the finishing touches - all much slower with a little one in tow! . But we have made lots of progress (despite each day feeling much like the one before) and have a few pictures almost ready to share. . And to celebrate it being Friday evening and a long weekend (not for us here, more Groundhog Day and styling!) I am sharing a sneak peak of the entrance hall. . I have long admired the work of @tommyclarke and we met with him a few years ago to discuss some potential Balearic Island images, it feels right that we have included some of his fabulous work in this house. . I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend? P is away in Italy for ten days photographing lots of houses for a luxury rental company (sounds heavenly, but it is actually exhausting as he’s having to do three each day!)

Lily and I have been pottering around close to home and this afternoon I headed into @decorexinternational for my annual inspiration fix.
.
Speaking of inspiration, this is the master bedroom of renovation number four, that I shared on the blog on Friday (link in my bio ✨)
.
We created a master suite by doing a full loft conversion and managed to squeeze in a large bedroom, walk in wardrobe, as well a shower room. Always a challenge when dealing with areas of restricted height, but we were really pleased with the result. I designed a lovely large window looking out to the garden side (if you swipe left you can see it), which worked brilliantly to add a bit of character and let in more light.

After posting the blog I have had lots of people asking about this chandelier - it’s one of my all time favourites by Verner Panton and I have currently linked to it in stories if you want to find out more.

Flashing back to 2014 today and a house we renovated in South-West London. It was a very unloved and rundown place that had been vacant for years. We breathed life back into it and I felt so proud when the project was complete.

Sunday morning lie ins...remind me again?! I wouldn’t change it for the world, but the days when our bedroom felt like a calm oasis and Sunday mornings for fir relaxing with tea and newspapers in bed seem a million miles away.

Instead we get a wake up call around 6am and 30 mins of cuddles, sticker book and a bit of Hey Duggee on the iPad before an early breakfast. But it’s still a rather lovely, if rather different routine 😊

Soft pastel interiors this afternoon - and we have exciting news! We fell in love with a house this time last week...it is honestly the most beautiful house we have ever seen. Georgian with the most amazing features - I’ve been so excited since seeing it that I haven’t been able to sleep 😴

The most exciting part is that we had our accepted on it at the end of last week and solicitors have been instructed today 😊 I’m so hopeful that all goes through ok and if it does I can’t wait to share it with you in a few months’ time ✨☺️✨

Thinking about this bedroom this morning and the view out over there sunken garden, which would be bursting with white hydrangeas and roses now.

It is now a year since we decided to sell the house in Dorset - we finally think we might have found the house we’ve been dreaming of. We are viewing it on Monday and I can barely sleep as I’m so excited. Fingers firmly crossed this time!

I haven’t mentioned our flat in Notting Hill for a little while - the main reason being that’s it’s been almost full since the new year with bookings.
.
We have also taken a long booking from the end of September until the end of January, so we won’t be visiting for a while then. We have just reduced the last few dates available in August and September by 30% to fill them. So be quick if you fancy a shopping trip to London! It’s a few minutes walk from Portobello Road and Westbourne Grove, so perfect for a bit of retail therapy, or just a potter and a coffee at Grangers.

I can tell you that most of you this morning were right though, it was Cheltenham and it could be the perfect place for us. Would love to beat tips from those who live there and love it. It’s further from Dorset then we originally wanted to be, but has everything we’ve been looking for. We are excited to explore it more and the houses we saw today were lovely too 😊✨

Some calming blues and greens this morning, as well as my favourite print by #andywarhol. This is the cosier sitting room in Menorca - somewhere to hide from the heat of the day or snuggle up in winter and I’m so pleased to have this Chanel print there. I’ve had it for a number of years and is one of a collection that Andy Warhol did for Chanel - the campaign was for bus stops in Paris, which is why it’s so large.

Heading back to Dorset today and to Castle Hill for the first time since we left - we are having tea with the neighbours and obviously won’t be going back into our house, which will feel confusing and strange! I do miss this view, but am still excited about what’s to come next...

This is one of my favourite additions to the house - it was actually Patrick’s idea (I get most of the credit for our designs, but he’s actually the one who comes up with a lot of the best architectural and spatial ideas!) It’s the perfect spot to sit with a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening (with the sun streaming through and the most beautiful soft light) and still feel connected to what’s going on in the kitchen ✨

This is my favourite corner in our flat in Notting Hill. We designed a banquette to save on space and create a separate dining/work area, but I love the little nook and it’s one of my favourite places to hang out there. After kindly being selected by @bobbyberk as one of the top ten @airbnbs in the world for #condenastttaveler, we are pretty fully booked.

More Christmas spam and this time another mini announcement - we will now be in Dorset for Christmas after all as we hadn’t realised our car insurance wouldn’t let us be abroad for more than 90 consecutive days without importing the car into Spain and insuring it there!

So we are now coming back in early December and though we were looking forward to Christmas in the Balearics, we are thrilled to be heading back in Dorset for Lily’s first Christmas. Plus I’m feeling so inspired for this years’ Christmas decorating and styling, but feel terrible that I jumped the gun and listed it for rental only to take it down a week later.
.
For those they were interested we might be opening up a few weekends next year for private rental, so do still register interest.
I have help with Lily today so I can catch up with a serious backlog of work. Off to make a cup of tea (and grab some chocolate- current obsession is @greenandblacks Velvet collection!) and head straight to my desk.
