I didn’t guess the twist at the end but I think that’s because it came so out of left field and felt random to the rest of the book… and I don’t know how to properly put it but I kind of get an ick reading books that have too specific of modern references? The specific note of what Nespresso pod she used and her white chocolate mochas, it gives me an ick. Drink a black coffee or tea like a real book adult

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid was the perfect end of summer read! Definitely think she’s one of my favorite authors for sure, I loved Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo as well as Daisy Jones and the Six!
