The shelves are up! 🙌🏼 I decided to go with the wave instead of the zig zag look I had up initially. 🤪🌊 Y’all know how indecisive I am. #noshame This project was super easy and fun! I used the leftover colors from the mural wall to paint this fun rainbow behind the shelves! In short - I painted pieces of canvas paper and taped them to the back of the shelves. Now these shelves tie the two sides of the room together while not being too over the top. 👊🏼 Now that this room is done (well, no room is ever really “done”🙃) I don’t know what to do with myself. Time to start on something new, right?! 🤩

I love an easy project, don’t you?! 🙋🏼‍♀️ I plan on putting five of these honeycomb shelves together above the chalkboard wall in the playroom to tie the room together and finish ‘er up! 👊🏼 I used the left over paint from the playroom mural and painted solid pieces of canvas paper I then taped them to the back of the shelves to create a fun rainbow look! 🌈 Even with a two year old yelling “Olaf” at me approximately 1848582019 times, I still managed to get this done in a day! 😅According to the reviews, these shelves are not fun to hang. Shhhh... Let’s all agree not to tell Brett that little part, mmmmk?? 🙊⠀

This project has taken me on an emotional rollercoaster this week! 😍😭😂😫 I’ve almost thrown in the towel several times but I’m SO GLAD I didn’t! You see, it all started when I came across a dreamy wallpaper on Etsy. Because of the way the basement ceiling meets the wall, wallpaper is not an option down here (whomp, whomp) so I decided to paint it myself! 💪🏼 What you see here is the base / background. Next week I plan on adding the fun stuff on top of it (black dots, lines, flowers, etc.) Until then, I’m veggie’ out with my girl! Follow along in stories to see this project unfold! 💕 ⠀

Celebrating progress!! 🙌🏼🎉 This space is finally starting to take shape and look like an actual playroom! 😍 I’m catching my breath before tackling the blank white walls - I’m hoping to do another fun DIY, similar to our entryway! Tonight I realized, I come down here and see ALL THE THINGS left to do - Bennett comes down here and sees her dream space! She’s in heaven. I wish I was more like her.
