I found the most lightweight, soft, comfortable pants for summer, for travel, for everyday and if you add in this luxe white tee you have the base for an outfit that can be worn in so many places! I added this knit navy blazer to wear home on the plane from LA because it was FREEZING in LA and on the plane, then when I landed in San Antonio I took off the jacket (and switched to sandals when I got home).

Still a pinch me moment…YouTube invited me to speak at an influencer event at their LA office last week and it was magical! Imagine “working” for a company for almost 15 years and never meeting anyone from the office or even seeing the office, and when you finally do, it’s at Google/YouTube!! I also had the chance to reconnect with @misslouie, the other speaker at the event, who I haven’t seen in years! The whole day was just incredible.

So what did I wear? I wanted to wear something that made me feel comfortable and confident, and this relaxed linen suit fit the bill. It was also giving me California vibes so I figured it would work and it did! To make it a little more casual I wore my favorite ribbed tank instead of a blouse. Now I’m back home in Texas and it feels like I dreamed the whole thing!

I went to Los Angeles this week for 36 hours and you’re seeing the only moment of sunshine I saw in those 36 hours. I was warned about June Gloom but wow! I was not prepared-and I was FREEZING!! I wasn’t mad about it, since I knew I was coming home to almost 100° weather in Texas. I still love the outfit, especially my new top and sandals, but maybe I’ll save them to wear in warmer weather.

The blouse runs on the larger side but it’s the softest, most airy cotton feel. It buttons down to the natural waist and then there’s a drawstring where you can adjust the waist to have a more peplum shape if you want. I picked up the sandals on my trip to The Woodlands last week and I can confirm they’re very comfortable and run true to size!

This is a sleepy, minimal makeup me. The bed at the Westin Woodlands was possibly one of the best I’ve slept in, but I just couldn’t sleep the night before and I was dragging that morning! We had a quick breakfast with the kids before driving back to San Antonio. You may notice some new shoes on my feet…I may have wandered into the Nordstrom that was only a 6 minute walk from the hotel and grabbed them while the boys were at the golf tournament. They are SO comfortable and the wood soles have a rubber backing so they’re really easy to walk in. They run true to size.

We celebrated all the things with our family on Saturday night at @Triswoodlands and it was so nice to have all of us around a table together! My dress runs TTS, is lined and has an elastic waist, which definitely came in handy after the meal that we had! I decided to match my shoes and purse with a pop of silver. If you look closely and see a fuzzy image of a man in a pink shirt in the background, that’s my younger son! I spent Saturday in The Woodlands and while my boys were enjoying the LIV tournament, I went to lunch with my friend Sara (@hauteandhumid). I knew it was going to be hot and humid weather wise as well, so I packed my breezy gauze midi dress and dressed it up with a narrow adjustable belt. Note-I took it straight out of the suitcase and didn’t have to steam it! While the weather was steamy outside, inside it was like a meat locker, so I brought along my new favorite crochet style cardigan too! Headed out to the Houston area this weekend to celebrate…well lots of things. This is what I wore for the 3+ hour road trip (Houston traffic is INSANE). It was comfortable, cool, and transitioned straight to dinner with the family that night. Wearing a size small in the dress.

#walmartpartner Our Weimaraner, Rowdy, recently had some benign growths removed and we were told we have to keep him inside and fairly calm until the stitches are removed. Before we even picked him up from the vet, I placed an order with Walmart+ and had a bunch of new toys and treats from @walmart delivered to the house to entertain him, because the last thing you want is a bored Weimaraner!
