What I bought & loved in January 2023: Fruit of the Loom Men’s Sweat Set ($26). For the price this set exceeded my expectations. It would be embarrassing to admit how much I’ve worn this in the three weeks since I bought it. Washes well and fits nicely considering it’s a men’s set. Silver Huggies Earrings ($15). Beautiful, inexpensive and don’t irritate my ears at all. Loved them so much I bought them in gold too. Gold Huggies Earrings ($15). Sherpa-Lined Puffer Vest ($35). Another surprisingly great men’s Amazon find. Fits great, is so warm and has a longer back which offers more coverage when I’m in leggings 🤍 Metallic Puffer Coat ($40). I snagged this during Uniqlo’s sale and have no regrets. I didn’t specifically need another winter coat but this one feels a little sportier and chicer than my others and I find myself reaching for it almost daily. X-Large Basket ($40). A great dupe for the far pricier Crate & Barrel baskets. Surprisingly high-quality and very beautiful in person. Hallelujah! After months of research we finally found our perfect stroller. Owen’s been outgrowing his @doonausa for a while now (best first year baby purchase IMO) and replacing it was giving me anxiety. I wanted to find a stroller with: Easy maneuverability & a sharp turn radius (I love something I can drive one-handed) All-terrain wheels Light-weight (something we could travel with) An adjustable & reclinable seat (forward or backward-facing) A generous sunshade Compact breakdown (we looked at Uppa Baby but most of their strollers were too large for our small trunk!) Ideally eco-friendly fabrics too No easy task 🥴😝 But when this Baby Jogger sights stroller went on sale, I knew I had found “the one”. We have absolutely no regrets — the suspension is a dream (even on forest trails!) and it comfortably fits in our small trunk with room to spare. It’s the Season… to decorate our Christmas Tree 🎄 Here’s how we do ours: - Fluff the Tree Branches - Add homemade mirrored ornaments along the trunk to reflect the lights - String the lights (I find wire lights much easier to string then traditional lights) - Place the Topper - Add any sprigs, ribbons or large ornamental elements - Place tree skirt or collar - Add ornaments We kept our ornaments really simple this year — only unbreakable options in case Owen decides to start grabbing 😂 Hopefully I’ll be able to bring out my massive collection of glass ornaments again next year. #ad Being a new Mama is hard. Being a new Mama during Covid? Even harder… I’m beyond grateful to Metta Baby for giving Owen and I one of the best experiences we’ve had together yet! Their infant swim tubs and massage classes are a dream — Owen could not stop smiling (and neither could I). It was amazing connecting with new moms in a beautiful atmosphere too. I’m so grateful they reached out for a partnership but I’ll be honest, I would have come in for a swim class even they hadn’t. Life is looking a little different these days… our beautiful son arrived early, we closed on our first house a week later, moved out of the city apartment we’ve lived in for 11 years in three days, and have lived in a world of half unpacked boxes and newborn-sized diapers since. Having my sister and her fiancé here for the holidays has just been the icing on the cake (or holiday cookie, if you will). Now it’s time to relax and look forward to the surprises 2022 will bring with the fullest heart ❤️🙏🏻
