🌟 Trend Alert 🌟 One of my favorite trends: textured walls! Textured walls and backgrounds are becoming a major trend. An easy and cost-effective way to embrace this trend is by using pole wrap for a backsplash or accent wall. In this bathroom, we elevated the style with a tall vertical mirror and two sconces instead of a traditional vanity fixture. Our installer brilliantly brought my vision to life. ✨Would you ever consider trying to put up your own wallpaper?✨ The idea of hanging up wallpaper terrified me at one point. I felt completely unfit and unqualified to do it. And truth is, I was! There are lots of mistakes that happened throughout this process but it was just a learning curve. I would absolutely do it again, I just wouldn’t attempt it on my own in a high-traffic area of my home. The kids won’t spot the imperfections; they’ll only see the effort and love that went into making their bedrooms special for each one of them.

We paired the romantic wallpaper with a boho headboard, giving the whole bedroom a whimsical boho vibe. Her bedroom is by far one of my favorite projects in our home 🤍

Do you have a home office? My office is my sanctuary 🤍 it’s my prayer space, where my creativity comes to life. It’s my favorite space to be in because it’s all mine and the one space that I have in my home that I don’t have to share with my kids 🤣🤍. I declutter regularly and now have shelves, cubbies and storage bins. My walls share what’s most important to my life, the word of God and a photo gallery of my family. My kids artwork is hung up on display. I also have a walking pad/ treadmill that I use often that I LOVE to use while I think about my next tasks and projects. I’ve quite literally made it my own haven 🤍

In my latest blog post, I share all the intricate details that went into our primary bathroom renovation. During the stages of the renovation that I shared in my Instagram stories, my most asked question was, why no shower door? I answer this question in the post, but I’ll spare you the search and answer it here too 🤪.

To save on costs. This house is our temporary home, but we made it a home. I didn’t get exactly what I wanted but the before and after makes such a difference that it’s simply enough for us to enjoy while we’re still here.

Having a shower glass panel vs. a shower door saved us roughly $2,500 for a custom door (our shower is larger than the standard size). We selected a 50in wide shower glass panel from @homedepot and had it installed by our favorite contractor @u1st_home_improvementllc. The panel is simple, sleek and elegant giving off a European vibe and it’s easy to clean.

My husband initially hesitated about choosing a shower panel over a shower door. The contractor and I put in a lot of effort to persuade him that this was the best option to save costs to also expand the shower in size. Now, neither of us mind not having a door. With proper floor leveling by the contractor, the water will always flow down to the drain instead of pooling on the tile and our guy did it right.

That feel good feeling after you just get your house cleaned 😌. Now that our primary bathroom is completed, we find ourselves spending way more time in here. I love soaking in our tub with some Epsom salt 🤍

✨Which do you prefer?✨ Gas fire pit or wood burning fire pit? I prefer gas because I like to keep my hair from smelling. I don’t wash my hair everyday so this makes all the difference in the world when we picked out our fire pit. 🤣

We also have a wood deck and can be a clumsy family in general, so I know a wood burning pit would not play out well for my household 😂. This is also why we opted for a gas fire pit.

I also love the look of a Adirondack chair. These chairs remind me of a beach. Low to the ground but can be paired well with pretty outdoor pillows to make it a cozy space. String lights are always my go to lighting of choice. Along with some live or faux snake plants (my personal fav, it takes a lot to kill it).

✨Artwork doesn’t have to cost a fortune✨ I promise it doesn’t. It just needs to mean something to you. I searched days for a piece that spoke to my heart until I found this. It is in my office which is right off the entry way of my home. It’s perfect for what I was hoping to find. If you notice as I get closer with the camera, the artwork looks as though it were really painted on a canvas with the ripples in the background.

It’s subtle but gets the message across that Christ is my Shepherd. He leads and guides the way.

The perfect spring hack to add life to any room in your home ✨
This hack can be used with much taller planters, but I chose one that I already had stored away in my storage room that worked like a charm in the corner of our dining room. You can stack boxes or books in the center of your planter to get the right height you’re looking for, or you can use just one box or book. The choice is yours. My tree cost just a little under $40 (it’s now priced at $52.99) at the time and the planter was purchased at @marshalls for $30. Buying the planter and plant separate allowed me to customize the look I was going for. It was simple and took about 10 mins to put the whole thing together✨ comment “planter” and I’ll share all the materials with you in your DMs. ☺️
