In my acting class we always start by sharing our “gets” of the week. This has become a favorite activity of mine because it’s so easy to plow through the week on autopilot or, worse, focus too much on the negative. By taking a moment to a reflect on the highlights of my week and listen those of others I’ve learned to enjoy the journey, rather than focusing on the end result (this has been huge for me) and appreciating each moment, even the small ones. So, my “gets” this week were learning to delegate tasks at work and buying a fridge (this was something I was dreading but I ended up feeling pretty accomplished and very adult-like).
