Frumpy isn’t coming from the pants—it’s coming from proportion and structure! Here’s a few tips to style wide leg pants or jeans.

1. Define your waist (non-negotiable). A tucked or fitted top is what keeps this from going boxy and shapeless.

2. Balance volume on top! Wide on the bottom = streamlined on top. Think: tanks, fitted tees, slim knits, or a slightly tailored blouse.

3. Cropped or structured layers only. Avoid long cardigans or tunics = where “frumpy” sneaks in fast.

4. Choose the right shoe
- Pointed toe or almond toe = elongates
- Slight heel or structured flat = polished
- Avoid clunky + round + flat all together (can feel heavy)

5. Add intention (belt, jewelry, bag). Wide-leg pants need a little “finish” so they don’t feel lazy. Belt, necklace, structured bag.
