Made a few changes in our daughters room... Almost 14 and it was time for a bigger bed. This @Zinus 51” Annette bed is so nice and very affordable. We are still working on a plan for above the bed, she wants a neon sign so I’m trying to come up with something for her but overall it turned out great and those terracotta velvet curtain panels are my FAVE ❤️😍 what do you think?

For most, summer is when they feel the most motivated for home projects but I’m 100% the opposite, the Oklahoma summers are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and miserable and I always get these bursts of energy in the fall/winter...Which turns into a race to see how much we can get done before the heat returns.... What about you? Do you feel more motivated in the summer or fall? Being able to use the fireplace is my que to get moving!

On the agenda this weekend is getting the back door painted to match this front door and if the weather will cooperate also painting the garage door... Finding an art piece this size (36”x36”) for under $500 is nearly unheard of and the fact that this one comes in under $100 REALLY blows my mind 🤯

@studiomcgee and @target really knocked it out of the park with this one and even though it does look similar to the old piece I had here, the lack of color in this one makes it a perfect 10 in my book and I think she’s here to stay!!!

I’ve been thinking of switching my lamps out with something different like a set of vintage black terracotta
lamps or something, what do you think? I love these white gourd lamps but I’ve slowly fallen more and more in love with black and I think a set of black ones would look better in here.

We are FINALLY done taking the cabinets to the ceiling

We ended up adding four cabinets above the fridge and one above the pantry. But just our luck as soon as we put the cabinet in place we realized that once the trim is added it will be touching one of our recessed lights 🤦🏻‍♀️

That’s one of the great perks of doing your own remodel.... Finish one thing and in the process you open up two more things you now have to do because of it
😂 all we can do is laugh at this point and move on.
.
So before we add trim looks like we will be moving some electrical! 👏🏻🙄
.
Sometimes this whole gig turns into one HUGE domino effect after the other!!

We ended up going with this ultra fresh vented GE washer and dryer set because of its great reviews and a report that the service calls to units sold was very LOW!!! 🤞🏻 Fingers crosses they last longer than our old set

Seriously though, in my defense I did purge our clothes a few times but never actually went through anything else and so I pretty much wanted to kiss the floor 😘 once I finished.

So I have to know, are you like me holding onto stuff for FOREVER or do you periodically clean your entire life/closet up?

We haven’t been hit super hard with the virus yet and they have only shut down our restaurants at this point but I expect if things keep going up it will also include other businesses..

Subway tile is an affordable way to update your home, and it’s super cheap too!! 🔥
Seriously probably the best $200 we’ve ever spent and after a few weekends of working at a snails pace we finished up all of the tile in the kitchen Reno That Never Ends👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Now it’s time to move on to the cabinets above the fridge 🤔 which is going to be tricky due to the 10 foot ceilings. But having a built-in fridge and more storage will be worth it right?!?
