When all else fails, go as a tv or movie character, using items from your closet! Or if you are lucky enough to get same-day/next-day delivery with Amazon, use it to your advantage! 🤷🏾‍♀️😂

I know some may think this is more work than just buying a costume. It can be if you don’t actually enjoy DIYs or just getting creative with things. Sometimes, it may even out price wise or end up being much cheaper depending on if you have most of the items at home already. The key to it all is to buy stuff that you would actually wear on a normal day but it doubles as a costume item.

I had a cheap black evening gown sitting in the back of my closet that I got years ago, and it was perfect for this DIY Breakfast at Tiffany’s costume. For the accessories, the cat eye sunglasses I already had, but I found an affordable costume jewelry set that helped channel my inner Audrey Hepburn. I loved these linen polka dots so much that I had to get the matching skirt! Shockingly, I have not worn the two together but love the versatility in both pieces and can style them in so many ways.
