Hairwash day I’ve recently swapped back to shampoo, after using just cleansing conditioner for the last few years. Not sure what happened, but it wasn’t working the same way as it had been, and instead of leaving my hair airy and light, it felt heavy and too smooth which makes it hard to style. Maybe they changed the formulation or maybe my hair is behaving differently (aging causes lots of interesting side-effects 😆). I’m currently using @kerastase shampoo which is so good! I missed in the genetic lottery, and instead of getting my mother’s thick and wavy hair I inherited my dad’s stereotypical Nordic hair quality: fine and smooth. Although luckily I have quite a lot of it, it likes to lie flatly against my head. 
As so often in life, we want the opposite what we’ve been given, so I’ve spend a lot of years and tried a plenty of products to make my hair behave I like would want to, bouncy and wavy!

I haven’t used conditioner for a decade, for the same reason as they made my hair too smooth. Instead I use well diluted white vinegar (whatever is the cheapest from supermarket), about 1:10. It doesn’t leave any smell afterwards, but closes the little scales in the hair without weighing my hair down.

I hate drying my hair so always try to avoid it, and I don’t curl my hair every time I wash it either, but it really extends the clean hair feeling (I only need to wash my hair twice week when I’ve curled it) which is a big motivator. I use volumising mousse & root spray, ad hair spray. I recently upgraded my vintage hot rollers (they served me well for 18 years), and the new ones are heating so much quicker and get hotter too. I do also use my @t3 curling iron and straighteners for curling sometimes, but I’m so clumsy with them that the rollers is a lot quicker and easier way for me to curl my hair. I like that after putting them on I can get things done whist they are cooling down, rather than having to actively curl them. I try to roll them sideways so the end results are less like a helmet shape!
