My Curly Hair Holy Grail Products! 💜

⬇️ 3 Curl Care + Styling Hacks ⬇️:
1. ONLY brush you hair when it’s WET and apply some leave-in cream or conditioner to the ends prior to brushing. Once you’re brushed through you whole head, hold you head upside down and scrunch upwards with a microfiber towel!
2. LESS IS MORE when it comes to styling gels, mousses, etc. Crunchy is no longer cute so apply less product when styling!
3. KNOW YOUR CURL TYPE and ONLY use products that cater to your curl type! Trust me - you curls will thank you greatly when you use products that cater to their texture and pattern! If you don’t know your curl type yet, there are tons of FREE curly hair type quizzes online for you to take and see!

Use #Aussie’s Miracle Curl Kit to tame the mess that is my hair 😫! On this day I was just going to the pool so I applied a few products + let my hair air dry!

How to get volume w/ air-dried hair:
🔆 use a MICROFIBER towel
🔆 brush & scrunch upwards & UPSIDE DOWN! This is key!
🔆 as your hair is naturally drying, continue to scrunch upwards, upside down, with your towel. The more you scrunch, the more volume you’ll see!

1️⃣. Use a MICROFIBER towel! Trust & believe my curls started looking a helluva lot more healthy + less frizzy the second I stopped using my bath towel (cotton) to dry my hair 🥴. I have a few different microfiber towels from various brands & the only real difference I notice between them is their thickness. While #TurbieTowels are more affordable & you can purchase nearly 2 sets of 2 for the price of one #DevaCurl towel 🥵, I find DevaCurl towels to be thicker & therefore absorb the moisture faster, making my wash/condition/style process easier & MUCH faster (which is totally worth it to me!).

2️⃣. Do EVERYTHING upside down! From brushing to scrunching to drying - keep your head DOWN ⬇️! This helps build volume in a "natural" way without having to use additional products to achieve the volume you desire. Being a curly girly is not for the faint of heart or for weak pockets so any time you can cut a corner without damaging your curls, i highly recommend taking full advantage 💯‼️

3. Use a diffuser when blow drying your hair & do NOT stop until AFTER the point where it feels like your arm is going to fall off (bc if you’re doing it right – it will 😩). Seriously though, diffusing is usually where people give up bc it takes forever + you have to continuously scrunch upwards. If you have thick hair like me, you might as well just pull up a chair + put on some good tunes bc you will be there awhile 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️. I can, however, pinky promise that it will be 110% worth it in the long run ❣️ I try to let my hair air dry as often as possible but sometimes the situation (or my inability to manage time effectively) does not allow me to wait 2 full days for it to completely dry so if I do use a hot tool, I always use a good heat protectant (I tagged my favorite one), grab my diffuser, + get to scrunching (whilst dancing to my jams ☝🏻)!
