Baby Registry Series: Sleep

So many products are marketed to help baby sleep better, but these are the tried and true items we either registered for or wish we did!

A few notes:
1) I didn’t want the owlet because I thought it would make me more anxious, but the first time baby had a cold, I kicked myself for not having one.
2) Ditto for the humidifier (who knew you still need one even if you live in a humid climate?!)
3) This baby monitor is the best one without all the bells and whistles.
4) Our son loved the arms up sleep sack best.

Baby Registry Series: Health & Safety

Soo many items to include in this category that we either use very often (nose Frida!) or that we are grateful to have on hand when we do need them (gas drops!).

I also included a save vs. splurge with the Snuza/Owlet. We have the Snuza, but honestly haven’t really used it much.

Baby Registry Series: Diapering

Everyone knows babies go through a lot of diapers, but you’ll also want to make sure you’re stocked up on some diaper-related items, too.

We use this little cart to store all our diapers and supplies next to the dresser/changing table. Pro-tip, if you’re planning to use Water Wipes, you’ll want a dispenser like this one to make grabbing them easier. However, I’d skip the wipe warmer. It’s just not really necessary and it’s harder to grab wipes from anyway.

Baby Registry Series: Baby Gear

Affectionately titled “Baby Gear” in lieu of “Baby Junk” 😬 fact of the matter is babies tend to have a lot of junk to trip over 😂 These are all must-haves for our house!

I absolutely love the breastfeeding pillow because it’s firm on one side and soft on the other. You can also take out the foam insert and use it as a regular Boppy once you’re finished breastfeeding

Baby Registry Series: Pump Bag

It was hard to imagine going back to work while I was soaking in all the baby snuggles on maternity leave, but these are things I didn’t consider on my registry. I am a working mom and I do what I have to do to pump for my little guy.

This bag is the best and fits everything perfectly, but a word of caution, if you are adding anything else, you may want to consider sizing up from the medium to the large.

I’m using my Lululemon belt bag as a purse right now because it can switch easily from my work bag to the diaper bag on weekends!

Baby Registry Series: Bath time!

We love our bath time routine in this house! The only change here from our original registry is the larger bath mat. While the whale shaped mat we have is cute, I think my husband would prefer one with a slightly larger surface area.

You only need a couple of hooded “baby towels” (mostly because they are precious) and we just use our regular towels in between.

The little temperature ducky and the seat are by far the hardest hitters in this line up!

Baby Registry Series: Diaper Bag!

Linking all of the essentials for taking our baby out and about. We love our Lululemon new parent bag, and the skip hop diaper changing bag fits perfectly inside. That travel sound machine is a total workhorse for our family.

I always make sure I have at least two (preferably three) outfits anytime we are going somewhere. These Burts bees sleepers are so soft and stretchy, plus they run long so you can get more wear out of them. !

And of course, don’t forget the diapers and wipes!

Baby Registry Series: Starting Solids!

We are so excited to start adding in solids to our routine. I did a lot of research and the Tripp Trapp high chair was the one I felt most comfortable with since it utilizes the “90 degree” rule and grows with baby.

Baby Registry Series: On the Go!

Five very important big ticket items to include on your registry! Either you’ll have very generous friends and family who gift them, or you’ll be able to use your completion discount to purchase them on your own after your shower.

1. Large Stroller. We have the Evenflo Pivot Xpand and I love that it has so many configurations. We’ve used it as a bassinet only so far, but I like that it can be forward or rear facing, and it has room to add a second seat later on if our family grows!

2. Convertible Car Seat. Not something you’ll be thinking about when baby is tiny, but it is an expensive item you’ll need some time between 6 months and a year most likely. Better to have it when you need it vs. trying to research when you have your hands full with baby.

3. Diaper Bag. We love this Lululemon backpack version because it’s gender neutral, wipes clean, and has lots of pockets! Plus it comes with a handy crossbody, too.

4. Doona (or infant car seat and stroller system). Truly the workhorse of our baby products and the most convenient infant seat on the market. Just be mindful not to keep baby in there for more than 2 hours.

5. Travel Stroller. This one is great because it fits in the overhead bin of the airplane and has a super simple fold! We plan to use when Cullen outgrows the Doona.

Cullen is finally starting to appreciate toys and it’s been so fun watching him discover and learn how to “play”. These are all of his favorites at 3.5 months 🧡 Iykyk the purple monkey play mat is the soundtrack of our home these days 😂
