HOLIDAY HACK: TOY SWAP! I’m curious, have you ever done one?

#AD Like many households with young children, toys are abundant and more-often than not, they like other kids toys more than their own. During the holidays, I like to get together with a small group of moms and do a toy swap to save money and decrease waste.

I collect gently used toys, replace the old batteries with better performing batteries like @Duracell from @target and on Christmas morning, who has to know?! You are still a goddess! #EngineeredForMore #Target #TargetPartner

We focus so much on what to pack in the hospital bag that we forget about what happens after! Setting yourself up for the #Postpartum transition is arguably even more important as packing for your hospital stay.

Here are my postpartum non-negotiables:

Always Discreet boutique underwear: Throw these in your hospital bag and have an extra pack for when you return home. You can always place a “padsicle” in and remove it when finished.

frida mom: Upside down peri bottle. The adjustable nozzle gives easy access and helps keep you clean and take away sting.

New jammies and slippers: Breastfeeding friendly, soft and cozy. having something new and fresh that fits comfortable is a MUST. I also encourage you to live in bed for one week.

Padsicle ingredients: Witch hazel, aloe vera and pads. Add witch hazel, aloe and healing foam to a pad and place in the freezer closed until ready to use. These healing ice packs will be your bff if you have a tear or episiotomy.

Meal Train: Nourishment is everything postpartum! Stick to warming and healing foods and have someone who is close to you start one.

Heating Pad: They well boob warmers, but I find a good heating pad helps with all areas including sore upper back and shoulders from feeding, engorged breasts and a tender belly.

Perineal Balm or Spay: Often times, the hospital gives dermoplast and it works great, but if you want a clean, organic perineal healing option, I love this organic perineal balm.

Happy Almost Father's Day

#AD When I found out we were having a daughter, I was overwhelmed with joy. Not only because I know she was going to be delicious, but because of what she was going to witness.

A father whose love knows no bounds. A father who cries with us and provides for us. A father who does laundry and dishes and gives us so many kisses. Because of him, she will know what true love looks like.
